I seen that you replaced the track bar. It probably has something that is rebuildable in the ends. I was more talking about the control arms and possibly having a busted bushing. Seen once where this was the culprit.
Also, the track bar seems to be suspect often times. Are you sure you don't have a cracked rubber bushing in your track bar or control arms. Didn't mention replacing those so I assume they're stock.
However, the Jeep is just better overall with the 5.13s on and off-road.
I completely agree with this and that was the point of the post. I'm not saying I'm seeing huge gains, they are marginal but a gain is moving in the right direction. Now on the torque side, yeah thats a huge gain. I was...
3.73's wouldn't run in 8th gear. 5.13's easily run in 8th gear. Yeah the rpms dropped but not by some huge amount. Enough to make a slight difference though but the torque gains are definitely noticeable.
The 35's are not ideal for the 5.13's but I'm now easily running in 8th gear which is lowering the rpm back close to where it was with 3.73's in 6th and 7th gear. The axles were already built when I bought them. The gears have 5000 miles on them so they're broke in.
As many of you know, I swapped my complete axle assemblies out of my 21 Willys and installed Rubicon axles with 5.13 gears. I've been running these for a week and have very quickly acclimated to the new feel of all that low end torque. Needless to say I'm very impressed and happy with my...
The Rock Jock brand is arguably some of the best stuff you can get. Although i think it's more popular with the JL/JK crowd. But everyone will think thier brand is the best. As my previous post stated, I think any of the options out there are engineered to be stronger and better built than...
I just installed all Rock Jock components last weekend. High steer steel knuckles, drag link, tie rod and track bar relocation mount. I already had a Core 4x4 tier 3 track bar. So far so good. No complaints and the truck is rock solid. I purposely hit as many bad spots in the interstate at 75...
Thank you sir for your contribution. I used a great deal of this information over the weekend while swapping in the Rubicon axles and new steering components. Much appreciated by the group and myself.
The lockers are wired up and working as they should. Now just need to get back on a trail and try them out. @camarboi13 here's some pics of the Rock Jock beauty. ?
I have completed the Rubicon 5.13 axle swap into my Willys today. It all went off without any complications and I'm happy with the job. I realized 2 nights ago I had the wrong Dana 44 wire harnesses and had to order the correct ones. So I'm still waiting on those to show up but the wiring into...
I'm no expert by any means but I do have an lsd in the rear of my 21 willys. I have wheeled it plenty and have 36000 miles on it. I've had 0 issues with it and it has performed flawlessly. I don't know of any known reliability issues with these lsd's and I'm pretty sure they are the screw type...
Never had any issues at all over multiple tire mounting/dismounting jobs. Same size 35 12.50 17 on stock Willys wheels. Then dismounted and remounted on fuel aftermarket wheels. Only thing they said was we would have made a better deal if you woulda bought these from us. Which they probably...
