  1. My dealership offered me an alternative to my Diesel JT, and it is very tempting

I love my switches, I love my JTDR. The diesel is amazing depending on what you want it to do. If you are towing in the mountains the diesel takes a big hit because of the turbo. I love my diesel when I tow and everyday.
  2. TJ owner thinking about moving on to a JT - input wanted.

I had a TJ some years ago and it was very bouncy. Later, after kids, I bought a JKU and it was a much better ride but it was not a good tow vehicle (go figure). My JKU was re-geared .567 and had 35s. Towing with that at highway speeds was too many RPMs. Now with JTRD it is amazing. One caution...
  3. Clayton Leveling Kit Results on Rubicon Diesel

Hi Brian This thread was pretty old but I am wondering if you stayed with that setup and are happy, or you ended up with another lift? The TSB shocks were/are good? I want little to no lift, basically just level with skinny 35s. I also want to improve the steering/wandering especially when...
  4. Trying to decide which model to get for my first. Wrangler or Gladiator.

Had a TJ and then a JKU and loved them. JKU did not tow my TT very well so my new addition is a 21 JTRD. had it for 1 1/2 years and love it. Some people will complain about towing but those always seem like they are in the mountains. Towing in MI has been fantastic. Never an issue. I read...
  5. POLL: Should I Buy A Soft Top ?

I use my sunrider every day I can. On my JK top I had to fold it back correctly, using some time/effort, or the folds would not lay right and sag. The sunrider is just throw back and have fun.
  6. Ecodiesel vs gas engine for a Gladiator Sport S ?

Like many other have said there are many opinions. My family has two JT ECOs and we both love them. We tow in MI mostly so it's not flat but no mountains either. It seems as though mountains and extreme heat is what hurts performance. I had a 2015 JK with 5.67 gears and 35s and I hated towing...
  7. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

As I stated before I ended up installing Sumo Springs bump-stops and Tereflex 1-1/2 spacer lift in front. I also installed the Rear 3/4 in spacer to level and added the rear Sumo spring bump-stops. Everything drives the same on pavement but on dirt or any bumps it is far smoother. The Sumo...
  8. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

I looked into the Clayton 1.5 springs too and they said they were not "Diesel Specific". Probably why you only get 1" out of them. Good to hear they are a little more stiff. I have decided for now to start with the Tereflex Spacer 1 -1/2" and not putting the block in to raise my bumpstop...
  9. Diesel Lift Reality

It looks like you have a similar setup. Stock/lighter bumpers and no added racks/weight. You put on the Clayton overland + for Diesel? I was afraid that if they are planning the springs for diesel and overland weight it might be to harsh or stiff. Now that you have had it for a while still...
  10. Is anyone towing a travel trailer on 37¿

This is exactly what I need to do except for the mountains. I am not seeing much on here about using the Diesel. I know about the "normal" heat issues, but I would like to know regarding 37s and gears. Some say no gears needed with Diesel and .........But not many talk towing.
  11. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

I would love to hear if anyone tries this fix and what they think about it. Or if anyone has done something else without a lift and has fixed the issue. I don't want to lift it.
  12. Removing the roof (3-peice hardtop) with a short wife and a tall husband?

I also use the Sunrider and love it. I use it every day I can. Many days with my JK normal soft top I would not bother because of the time. I use my JT Sunrider all the time.
  13. How reliable has your gladiator been?

2021 JTRD. 9K no issues at all. I worried a little about Diesel with Cold starts. I don't plug it in ever. Not one issue yet.
  14. thinking of cancelling 22 rubi diesel order

JTRD 9K. I have heard the bottom out on right front a few times hitting a pothole at 50mph. Prob not the best idea anyway. I will look into a fix for that. No other issues. Runs great hot-cold. It does everything I want it to and very well. I had a JK and hated towing at 3500-4000 rpm. I...
  15. Would you feel comfortable towing...

If you can find one the KZ 181RD is awesome. Big Bed, Big Fridge Big storage. Dry weight is just over 3300# so lighter on the payload. Standard Queen bed in the front. The dinette area you can actually use. and storage everywhere. Not much cooking area but I do that outside anyway...

You can shut it off permanently with a mini tazer Z Automotive Z-TZR-JLM Tazer JL Mini Programmer for 18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT | Quadratec
  17. Looking for 5-8% off invoice in the north east for order

I can tell yu for sure Gupton in Springfield TN is the way to go. [email protected] is the email to get you started. I have 1600 miles on my 21 Rubicon JT Eco and love it. I loaded it up and sticker was 61 and change and I paid 51 and change. 10K to drive from MI was well worth it and...
  18. Gasser real world fuel economy

what options did you find for that size. I am real interested in keeping the mud off the side. Lots of dirt roads.
  19. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

Funny. Exactly what I said this morning. I also wonder if the hood scoops for the Rubicon would help the engine bay temp.
