Yes no issues with what is on the side, etc. Pretty much as you said they are not that great for the distance, etc. I've been driving with these Jpeggs for about a year now when I have the doors off. Usually not a big deal but was not the most comfortable thing driving into the office today on...
How are the mirrors. I have the Jpeggs and while they are solid but driving on the freeway with them makes it a bit difficult to actually see what is going on behind me. Guess its because they are the round convex mirrors. I'll have to check out the earplugs
When I have doors off I don't keep...
I've been using mine for close to a year now. Great tent holds up well in the wind if you put out the proper guy lines. Haven't really been through any heavy rain storms so can say on that part. Love that you an open windows how you want to get air flow. Only thing is they didn't have the...
Was on the freeway this evening at about 65 not big issues but only went about 10 miles. Crosswind was bad though and could really feel that. Noise level was not to bad but the freeway was not that heavily packed like is in the morning during rush hours
Been having the doors off but usually only go maybe max 20 miles or so but if I take it to work it will be 50 each way on the freeway unless I stick mostly to the feeders
Not a lot of options and yea I am same thought by now there would be more after market options. But I managed to score a good deal on a new soft top so it was a no brainer for me. I had no issues with the bun and if I want it off totally then its just two bolts
Depends on what you mean by easily removeable. I have the mopar top and its takes 10 seconds to flip it back but if you have issues with the bun then its like 5 minutes to pop out the bolts and remove it totally.
Don't expect pricing on anything to come back down for long time if ever. The shipping Market is insane right now with the prices being asked to transport ocean and air. That is all going to be pushed off on the customer at some point.
There's not much around the city itself maybe around the Sam Houston State Park area there could be some campgrounds. Usually I am going down to South Texas but the places I camp at I access via kayak. Think you can camp over at San Luis Pass. Drive your Jeep on the beach to your spot and set up...
Yea I keep most everything put away when I am running without doors. its hot as hell here in Houston right now so no worry's about freezing. My 67 design phone holder keeps it tight. Should be interesting
Yea if I make a go of it I will have my rain gear cover in the bed under the bed cover. Didn't think about the ear plugs. I am in Safari mode right now with just the two front doors off. I may leave a bit earlier and travel the feeder roads for a bit and then jump on the freeway when needed. I...
Anyone done any freeway traveling with the doors off. I have mine off and I don't really want to put them back on currently but I have to drive into the office. Its a 50 mile drive each way on the tollway. just curious from others who may have done such.
I'll disagree with you on REI I have had a number of issues with their products and them not backing them up. Its the one reason I steer clear of some of the things they sell. Hell I got a JEEP truck that I bought that the dealership wouldn't back up at first (LOL)
I will have to do something like this when I replace my 3rd windshield in less than 2 years. I just had a new one put on and already have a crack right in my drivers veiw
