The price is great! I went solid state with Switchpros to avoid relays and avoid drilling the dash, but it is way more costly. Looks like a good setup!
I’m on my third auxiliary battery now. Every time it is nearly 100% humidity with heavy fog, my start/stop battery service indicator comes on, my battery voltage drops from usually 14.6-14.3 down to 13.5-13.9. High humidity isn't too common where I am, so trying to replicate anything further at...
I think sealing the hardtop is easier than folks make it out to be. You can grommet each side + flex seal and water WILL not be able to get in. I don't know if I will drill only because I don't trust myself enough to, haha!
It would go between the bed and body, then down and towards the underside of the truck to the engine bay. However, the snaking off of that rack to said gap would be visible and it doesn't seem like an easy job to secure it.
I am also in the same boat as you with that rack.
Do you have a bed rack?
This is pretty awesome. I'd actually want to wire it to marker vs. turn signals to keep the yellow constant-on as additional marker lights. Seems like a good addition to side lighting that Euro-spec JTs already get in that area.
I've replied to his stuff before on that Gladiator video:
You cannot compare prices from a Raptor to Gladiator. The Raptor is no longer being produced, and any "new" one on the lots are being marked up towards 2x the price in high-market areas. This Gladiator is more comparable to a Ranger...
People were told 2020s could do this, but it is not true. Only in 2021s can you push a combo of buttons to get rear axle lock in hi. Or get a Tazer and do it yourself even in 2H.
Doubt it is. What speed was she going at? There would be a LOTTTTT more damage to consider frame issues. Sounds like you could use an alignment maybe. Check your track bar/steering underneath for anything that may look amiss.
I dont plan to lift. I daily my JTR and I may go up to 35s (and then maaaybe regear) but this truck will see mostly snow more than rocks. I got it to overland and camp while also being my primary vehicle. I don't want to make it any more difficult for anyone to get in/out, nor do I need any more...
I'm working on it now. You either need a switch like SwitchPros with triggers or just do a relay. Rather than wire the trigger to a switch in the cabin, a T-tap to the positive wire on the reverse lights should work just fine to trigger the lights as well as it goes back to the relay anyway. I'm...
OLD Muds will be horrible in the snow. You probably had new snow that wasn't packed yet, which pretty much acts like mud/sand and the M/T aren't too bad on. However, with more packed snow, I wouldn't trust them at all.
Did you run at factory-rec PSI?
I've driven the JT on M/T in pure powder...
In all other cars I've had with CarPlay, the standard voice command button will trigger Siri when CarPlay is working. In the Gladiator, I can't seem to get that to happen. Is that possible at all?
