Hello everyone,
As winter approaches it will be my first canadian winter in the truck. Any tips anyone has on what to expect.
Is there a need to place any weight in the back ? How does gladitor handle the ice and snow on roadways?
Thanks !
Did you ensure to use the 2 washers supplied? After taking off bolt where dead pedal will anchor, place 2 washers, then pedal, then tighten bolt. There is some indication in other threads ...there seems to be a correlation with reducing any vibration by ensuring washers are used. I have no...

Interesting observation. I have not noticed movement in Dead Pedal when pressing brake. The bolt the dead pedal secures to is the same anchor point for the "clutch pedal " on a manual..? I could be wrong.
The quadratic kit came with 2 washers that you place on anchor then bolt down...
I love the original look with just the metal showing. I added the pad (which is simply a 3m secured rubber pad, good quality and good adhesion) and nicely matches the other pedals. I only got it cause we get lots of snow/ice here and it will keep foot somewhat planted without the slippery feel.
It all depends on your preference and past experience I guess. Most of my previous vehs had dead pedals where you could rest the idle left foot. When I noticed the jeep didn't have one, I found my foot reaching or looking for a rest. It wasn't overly problematic , but more of a convenience...
I am really happy with the quadratic dead pedal for my 23 mojave. I went with the padded one. Looks great and perfect foot rest. Makes a huge difference in having something there during long trips or off roading.
Any update to the blue smoke on start up after jeep sitting for a couple of days? I ve read the threads where it is happening but have never read results of anyone getting answers after taking to dealership. Anyone?
I am new to jeep and sorry if this is silly question. Does every jeep have its own unique Easter eggs or are all builds the same? Found this on my 2023 mojave.. wasn't obvious at first but thought it was neat. Flip flops on passenger side exterior hood trim.
2023 Mojave. 2 weeks old but with 5k miles... drove across Canada, so all highways miles. No pitting, no rust. No ocean, environment all normal for this time of year. No salt, no road issues , all very normal driving conditions.
It appears to me to be perhaps paint..(grey) primer type...
I was under my 2023 gladiator installing side steps and decided to look around the underbelly. I noticed an area of the drive train (joint) where paint appears to be flaking off. I've circled area in pic. Anyone else notice this or has explanation? Is this normal? Thanks!
