My opinon, there is nothing to substitute a Gladiator.
If you really need something for work and other irrelevant stuff go to Ford, Toyota and others. ;)
Read the article and have to say, apart from the headline, it wasn't so bad.
Only the last paragraph where they compared the 392 with Mercedes G I would not agree.
In my opinion the 392 is the better offer for the money and would be even better if it is offered as a gladiator.
I would keep the original spare.
Just check the pressure once a year or take a compressor with you.
BTW, I had a puncture some months ago where I had to use my spare.
Repaired it later on with this and is still tight.
Have this now on board and on the next flat I even don't have to change...
This is definetly not an issue.
But Jeeps are known for beeing not well protetcted against rust.
Therefore I brought my Gladiator immediately after the purchase to a shop for rust prevention.
They used a kind of grease for the cavities and Fertan ubs 240 for underbody coating.
Not sure if...
Not sure if this is typical but I plan a longer trip beginning of November with trailer. Maybe I can confirm then.
Best which I achieved so far was 32 mpg and average is 27 mpg without trailer.
This is according to on-board computer but I think it's quite accurate.
And I am referring to...
I was towing with the 320 my 968 CS several years to the Nordschleife ...
I would recommend to check if the Gladiator fits your size and if yes, my suggestion would be to buy a Diesel in your preferred trim and get you some additional vehicel for the short rides.
I owned up to now about 65+...
Unfortunately, I don't have a high altitude experience.
Highest was about 700 meters ...
But I have done some quite steep climbs with the trailer and I could hardly notice that I was towing something.
Just for comparison, some years ago I drove the same hill with a BMW 320 ti (170 hp, no...
Can only compare the Gladiator to TJ and early JKU.
But my feeling is that the Gladiator, due to the long wheelbase, has a very stable ride quality. Even at 110 mph.
I would of course go for the Gladiator.
In principle, I am not really a Diesel fan.
And if I could have got a naturally aspirated engine with a comparable torque in the Gladiator, which would have about 6 Litres, that would be most likely my preferred choice.
But after 7000 miles I have to say that the Eco Diesel is fantastic.
