...a spare tire, a jump starter, a tire inflator, and a minor first aid kit as a minimum. I am very impressed with WOLFBOX and, based on the reviews on the Jeep forums, I am waiting on a good sale or coupon to buy the G900Pro Rear View Mirror DashCam. :like: I need to post this on the JL site too.
...I would recommend this product to absolutely anyone. I did have a similar, only two camera system installed prior to this, from a competitor. This one is far and beyond better, proving at least to me, that not all mirror dashcams are created equal.

... down to 11.8v this morning, after sitting 2 days.
Yeah.. not good. Time to do the aux delete and see if my drain stops long enough for me to get a replacement battery. *sigh*
I want to hard wire my dashcam and it needs 2 power feeds (switched/unswitched), the hard wire kit has excellent connectors for the fuse box, but what's the best route? I've seen videos that the Wranglers (gas) have a grommet behind the glovebox, but the diesel firewall and engine compartment...
...even 13.9.
That said, by the time we got home, after shutting off the system, it was still only reading 12.4.
Honestly wondering if my dashcam, with it's 'always on', power, isn't shutting itself off when it's supposed to. (12.5) So, pulled that power tonight, to see if it drops further...
Mine is retarded. :) All kidding aside, mine has never "not started right up". It's more an issue of weird things popping up on the dashboard and strange glitches. It started when I got it home from the dealer. Jeep was built in May 2024. I bought in September 2024. I guess sitting on the...
Yeah, it was the Rexing V1 4K model. Bought it almost a year ago from Amazon and sat sealed new for close to 9 months before decided to install it. Was buggy out the box and did all the online suggestions of turning off the parking mode and G Sensor and swapping memory card size and types to no...
I also have a VIOFO front and rear dashcam. It has come in handy and I have been happy with it. I also had a Rexing V1P in my last vehicle and I didn't have any issues with mine like you did. Hopefully you will have better luck with your new one.
FWIW, IF you already have an aftermarket headunit with some sort of A/V input (something like one of the Stinger units) this job becomes much easier......and cheaper.
Any Amazon HD camera with the correct cabling could be wired pretty easily.
Yep! This! I have the Wolfbox 900 TriPro. It has one forward-facing camera on the back of the mirror, one forward-facing camera that mounts up front in the grill/bumper area, and one rear-facing camera that mounts in the rear. I love mine. I will attach some pictures. You can see where I...
I added the Z Performance (Tazer ppl) front camera and it works well. I've used it in Moab during EJS and it's great. I am not aware of any way to use it as a dashcam though.
I bought a cheap 'action camera' from Amazon for $70 and it works great for that.
I installed a GoPro Hero 11. I use it as dashcamera at times - I modified the electrical (nothing major) to sit atop of my center tray dashboard. It works perfect.
You’ll need some basic wiring knowledge. It’s not necessarily a dashcam per se, but I use it to capture everything or some video...
...have a direct link, but it is an option to add to your order when you order the G900 Tripro.
I also ordered the "OEM bracket for mirror dashcam" but it didn't fit and wasted $27.

Is the camera powered by the vehicle? Or internal battery?
One advantage aftermarket has over factory is it can be mounted to suit the purpose and doesn't preclude certain hood lock systems.

WolfBox G900 TriPro Bumper Edition can stream its bumper cam to a smart phone or tablet.

IT'S A DASHCAM!!! Records footage on an micro SD card.

Short answer is yes you can add it. No it's not worth it. No you can't use it as a dashcam.
Get a Wolfbox 900 Tri cam. You'll have a dashcam, trail cam that's better than factory, and a rear view cam.
I have plenty of rubicon factory extras in my 20 overlander, alas forward facing camera is not one of them ☹️
Is there a loom hiding somewhere on the vehicle to retro fit one?
And for a bonus question, could it then be hooked up to a hard drive to act as a dashcam?
Cheers legends!
