  1. Gladiator Hardtop Hoist

what part number is this hoist? Is it the 7803 with a 145lbs weight limit? Harken directed me here to see this post but they also recommended I use the 7802 with a 90lbs weight limit. They were saying the 7803 may have issues lowering the top because it doesn’t weigh enough.
  2. Anyone has jeep refuse warranty work with out having receipts for oil changes

...a couple hours later I got a call from the dealership - the car was ready to go. I asked how much - no charge. They said they got it on the hoist, pulled the bell housing cover to look up inside, unbolted the torque converter and slid it back, and found the flex plate bolts were loose. They...
  3. What do u have coming in the mail?

...bullet on one of these. It's not so much taking the top on and off for me as it is having somewhere to put it and keeping it out of the way while it's off. https://langeoriginals.com/products/hoist-a-top-crank-for-jt-gladiator Also still waiting on a couple of bolts for another small project.
  4. Rain gutter rack successfully carries 2x 10ft kayaks on highway

Thanks for the info. Do you think they are secured enough to attach my hoist hooks to the crossbars to lift top off? I'm not a lawyer, just looking for an opinion.
  5. Ok, so now what??

...headliner for more comfortable sounding ride and NFAB Nerf Step for the wife to get in and out easier. Phase 2 (get naked), I added a Harken hoist to the garage so I could remove the top by myself in under 10 min and door hangers to drive it naked. At that point, I found I needed a bikini...
  6. Diamondback HD

...in MPG. It looks a bit odd without the ROAM cases and just the awning sticking way up there but awnings look odd already. I’m going to make a hoist to remove the whole Slimline II, awning, ROAM boxes, etc when not in “overlanding mode.” with both ROAM cases. The awning clears these...
  7. Is the dual top worth the extra $$ over the freedom hardtop

...the dual top option was no longer available when I put my order in. So, I'm going to try a JTops sunshade and an electric hoist to quickly remove the hard top when I want to go doorless. But there's a strong possibility I'll break down and buy the factory soft top at some point...
  8. Gladiator wrenching, blood and mishaps.

...was engineered by a sprint car racer to load and unload his cars off the trailer - it's capable of lifting a car straight up with the right hoist on it. When I prep for car shows, the car goes up on stands as high as I can get it so I can literally wash and scrub the underside, touch up...
  9. Gladiator Hardtop Hoist

I'm about to retrofit my Harken Hoist used on my Wrangler hard tops. Any specific suggestions on the modifications? Thank you!
  10. Hi! Ex-Bronco Customer saying hello. Placed my Gladiator order yesterday! What accessories should I start to think about?

Real skid plates, rock sliders, steel bumpers, a hoist for your garage to take the top off, and a re-gear for bigger tires.
  11. Jeep dealership won't check mechanical damage until finished with body work

...suspension over to a different department, and - I would assume - have the said truck with the leak and broken suspension (visible) put on a hoist that someone would be under, inspecting the truck with the leak and broken suspension? Think about the liability. There's a thread on here about...
  12. Removed my roof for the first time to install Mopar Hardtop Headliner

Should’ve done the hotheads one with the sound strip assassin
  13. Removed my roof for the first time to install Mopar Hardtop Headliner

I just took my roof off for the first time. Re-installed it and I can't tell for the life of me if the rear passenger bolt has always been exposed... It's driving me mad. Was there a cover I'm missing?
  14. Removed my roof for the first time to install Mopar Hardtop Headliner

Thanks for the insight. I will be coming up with a plan for a hoist system very soon. Unfortunately, that may have not helped me today as my project required the top to be turned over and laid upside down on the floor for full access to install the sound deadening and Mopar headliner panels. A...
  15. Removed my roof for the first time to install Mopar Hardtop Headliner

Hoist easy and cheap using two Menards bicycle lifts, handful of pulleys from Amazon or Lowes, a cheap boat winch and a couple hours time. I can have mine hoisted up, locked in place to store in the garage (hanging so I park under it) or set it down into my truck for reinstall while using the...
  16. Removed my roof for the first time to install Mopar Hardtop Headliner

...a good thing I have long arms! In hindsight, I would opt for the factory installed choice. Overall, the project was a success, and I can definitely tell the difference already. Really quiets the road noise down and the sound system sounds better. It may be time to rig up a roof hoist...
  17. Need some lease return advice

...the opposite of the "Hummer" zombie truck. Saw one later at the country club, didn't figure out whose it was, but even my wife remarked it was svelte. She wants an electric, but it's killing me she says "we already have a pickup" and "we already have a Jeep" - kind of hoist by my own petard...
  18. Lets see all those Gladiators with lifts and bigger tires!

A crane. He uses a crane. Well I don’t feel so bad now. ? I would have got that sucker up there. But holy schit. I don’t need a hernia. ? I’ll check out maxtrax. Thank you.
  19. Lets see all those Gladiators with lifts and bigger tires!

Lol ?, ? I have a small gantry crane & electric hoist that I used to put the spare tire up there. It was very secure but It bounced around too much on the mount I have, so I hoisted it back down. It was more for looks than function. I eventually plan on checking out the Clayton rear track bar...
