Used a Harken hoist that I got from a forum member for a good price . Works well lifting my 72” CVT 270 awning mounted on Yakima round bars with quick disconnect control towers. Not installed to drop it all the way to ground goes to 30” as I just back the Mojave in and set it on the RSI cap...
Good idea, I would swap the coil to one cylinder and the swap the injector to a different cylinder. Pulling the intake is not required to swap injectors on the right bank, there is enough flex in the fuel line connecting the two fuel rails to allow the injectors to be removed. I use...
Yeah, if you go to specific stations and do the homework. But how many do? How many assume "premium is better" and pump it in, while it may be no better than "regular".
So if he uses Shell fuel........... (hard to find around here)
12.4 is low. If the batteries are fully charged and in good...
...I can see spending an extra $4.00 for a half tank (CA diff. in price between 87 and 91 X 10 gal.), in addition to adding injector cleaner. I
@Hoist has the battery voltage, when checked after the truck has been off for several hours, remained above 12.4? Just wondering if the root cause was...
Fuel injector cleaner isn't a bad idea depending on what fuel you buy.
Premium? To me that's always a "why"? because octane doesn't do anything other than prevent detonation, which you don't have.
Right now, all things are on the table since there's no other information to narrow it down.
I would ask - has the coolant level dropped at all? If there's coolant getting into a cylinder(s), then it has to come from somewhere, meaning coolant going out, the level MUST drop the same amount...
12.3 is getting low - low enough they should be charged. Even 12.65 isn't fully charged but might show that when all connected due to the load of the electronics.
I get that a lot too. Comes and goes. Seems to be a code stored if you try to start the vehicle and it has not yet picked up the RFID data from the FOB.
Did you use MOPAR OEM parts?
It may be a fuel injector that is causing this. you may want to run some fuel injector cleaner through it in a tank full of gas. Then see if that clears it up.
Sorry to hear that. It is not a horrible job. Unfortunately the parts are hard to come by. Some have had more luck just letting the dealer do it. They seem to horde the parts for their customers. Hopefully you get the misfire squared away so you may enjoy your new toy. Maybe your misfire is not...
Find a used Wrangler hardtop hoist on CL or FB Marketplace. I had a JKU. I have a Harken Hoister I recycled from that. I've seen the manual ones like I have for as little as $50 to the fully electric ones for $200-$400. I'm able to remove and replace my top by myself with ease.
Yes , I understand about some having physical limitations and its all understandable, I aint got a perfect back myself. But yeah I only really needed my wife to align it really .
I literally can lift the whole thing by myself. Last time I took it off and laid it in the grass ,I carried it back...
I used to hang my JKU hardtop from the garage ceiling with a DIY hoist, then it lived on a picnic table on my patio until I sold it. But because the JT's hardtop is much smaller, when the weather cools off and I finally decide to remove it, it will just live in my garage, no fancy hoist, just...
