  1. I've become disillusioned with my Jeep

Have the dealer check the tie rod ball ends and the drag link ball ends play. They usually start getting loose after 30K miles on the stock stuff. When I replaced my stock tie rod and drag link with RPM stuff at approx. 30K miles, the difference in ball joint stiffness was huge. The stock...
  2. Multiple Defects

Just curious. What color is your JT? The shading of the pics have thrown me off. I feel your pain in a small way. I brought my Jeep in for my free oil change. The "lot man" who took the wheel of my 2020 manual shift JT promptly backed it into a fence. Upon witnessing that act, I immediately...
  3. Continuing the earned name of "Eco-Boom"?

I'm a long time Ford guy and also love my Jeeps. I kinda look at it this way. Every manufacturer can have problems and stuff happens. Look at the Issues, Problems, etc. section here or on the JL forums. Read that and you'd think Jeeps were junk and wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole...
  4. On this episode of "Batteries gone bad"

Why did you jump to the conclusion that the issue was the aux battery -with no testing, especially? Because the internet says so, I'm guessing. Could be both or the main. You replaced the aux battery - it's possible a fuse was blown in the process if things weren't totally separated...
  5. Turns out Jeeps are not Toyotas

I agree, I think I got over swayed by the reliability reports, there was no way I was buying a 2020, but the end of 2021 after good reports on 2020 seemed safe, especially going gasser the pentastar is a decade old.
  6. Go, Go, Gladiator!

My wife and I bought a Gladiator. The Gladiator is our second Jeep, the other being a 2004 Wrangler Rubicon. We are retired and have been RV'ing since 2014. The first few years we RV'd with dirt bikes. As age and medical problems snuck up on us, we switched to a Jeep (2016). The problem...
  7. No battery issue!

I heard FCA is looking for engineers. If deleting the battery is such a perfect solution then I'd expect there to be one battery from the time I purchased mine. Batteries vary in life expectancy. So one person's experience can't be compared to another's. It's just how it is but I can promise you...
  8. How reliable has your gladiator been?

Since August 2020, 37k miles with cracked rear glass and one new windshield. Nothing mechanically wrong. Check out other threads about reliability. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/no-problems.51911/ Also there is a sub forum for issues...
  9. Buy Back or Max Care Warranty?

Take the deal, if it's good, and get rid of the truck. They see a potential problem, otherwise you would not have the buyback offer. There is nothing special enough about a LE to accept the risk of keeping it.
  10. No Power at 12V+ Pin

Hi all. I have a 2020 Gladiator with the factory trailer harness. There is no power to the constant current (one o'clock) pin in the 7 pin receptor. I checked the two 30 amp hitch fuses (36 & 37), as well as the other trailer fuses (107, 109, 111) even though they appear to be for the lights...
  11. Eco diesel or 3.6 gas??

I have 30,000 miles on my 2021 Mojave gas no issues at all, and had 20,000 on my JLU before it which was a 2020, but yeah diesel has had cam issues as well and I’m sure that anything with a turbo won’t be as reliable as something without, that’s with gas and diesel.
  12. Car Wizard on 3.6L

2020 Grand Cherokee Summit. 8600 miles. Most comfortable, quiet nicest driving vehicle I've ever had. 2021 JTM with about 1700 miles. Both vehicles have Pentastar engines. No problems with either one. The Grand had a vanity mirror light that didn't work and I was going to check the lemon laws...
  13. Talk me into it (or out)

I'll do the obligatory "I have a 2020 JTR with 29,000 miles and have had no problems that either I or the dealer didn't cause (dealer screwed up a TPMS sensor)". With that said, I kind of have to agree with @Cansberry and @Chief_jeep to an extent. I mean, the heart wants what the heart wants...
  14. Oil Pressure fluctations

HAHA LOL - get that a lot from people who have never been here, or who listened to David Letterman years ago when he said "Iowa was as flat as a pancake", or people who have only ever driven around Belmond or I80 west between Des Moines and Omaha. But ask the OTR drivers about i80 east of here...
  15. Eco diesel or 3.6 gas??

There’s been far more reported problems with the diesel than the gas especially as of lately. Anything that has a turbo is prone to more problems than something naturally aspirated
  16. Replacing both batteries

Will not replacing the aux cause problems with the main?
  17. Multiple Defects

It’s white, and I’ve had your situation happen to me as well with another vehicle, that’s always a good time.. also, while they had my vehicle at the body shop (for the 1st time) they marred up my front bumper, not sure what they rammed it with (doesn’t appear dented) but clearly they hit or...
  18. Let's Talk Winches

There's a YT video of a guy who opened up his Badlands Apex winch showing the insides (he twisted the winch plate which stressed the winch and cracked the top housing) - it was actually good inside. They are obviously trying to "rebrand" themselves. I had mine partially apart to re-route the...
  19. Talk me into it (or out)

I wheel my Gladiator every single day. I have miles of accessible trails two mins from my door. Having said that, the only time the top has been off my truck was when I bought the headliners and had to install them. The doors have never been off at all. The dust i have to clean up is bad enough...
  20. Anyone experienced codes like these?

So similar, this was my Saturday..... Dealer just got done today 4/25, found nothing but maybe loose star connection behind glove box. I looked at that part you posted. Does that vacuum pump cycle? it was cycling while in the driveway Saturday, with all my lights ablaze..... Drove home np...
