  1. Thinking About Buying A Jeep Gladiator

Depends how one wants to look at it but I own a 22 Bronco Sport that is the wife's daily driver. That specific vehicle has been the subject of 3 recalls to date but I did not have any of problems the recall addressed. Other than that, it has been solid. My 2020 and 2021 JT's may have had one...
  2. What's the deepest water you've ever tried to wade in?

With my 90XJ I've been in water about 4 ft deep and no problems with keeping it running, not good for wiring inside. Rear diff flooded and fuel tank got water in it. The difference and tank wouldn't have if I known guys had decided to run their mud buggies down the creek and rutted it out...
  3. Engine Tick now needs replaced

I had my engine replaced for ticking noise/oil filter full of shaveings in 2020.I am still driveing it with no problems 40000 miles later. They gave me a 6 year extended warranty for free also.you should ask about getting that but otherwise no worries.
  4. Bolt-on Hood Deflectors not for Mojave Gladiator—WHY?

Yes, it's a 2025. I also briefly had a 2024. A lot of changes came with last year's models. Normally, I can figure out why something won't work on mine just by looking at it, but the bolt on hood deflector is a mystery to me.
  5. Jeep cancels all 4xe Hybrid models!

It never was, but the PHEV idea isn’t the problem. Stellantis just screwed the pooch. Plenty of others work flawlessly.
  6. Replacing sprk plugs, how big of a pain will it be?

Lol, that's what I ended up using. Luckily I had a set from when I needed an E-torx to replace the intake on my daughter's car last month. Harbor freight for the win on that one.
  7. Bolt-on Hood Deflectors not for Mojave Gladiator—WHY?

Is your Mojave new? I have a 2024 Mojave and I’m still running into problems trying to buy things for the 2024 - where the websites say… “Will only work 2020-2023” kinda thing. Trying to email or call the companies…they don’t know WHY it doesn’t fit. I’ve been ordering stuff anyway…. it’s...
  8. New Gladiator, (kinda) the same as the old Gladiator.

Thanks. Some of the newer tech (ie uncoonect 5 and wireless android auto) is kinda frustrating me. Now I know how my dad felt when he would ask me to program the VCR. Maybe I just need to rent a 16yr old! My problem is we have zero cell coverage out here. Our cell phones are set up to work on...
  9. Burning Oil on Statup

Which makes me wonder about the dealership's "story". The engines in the JL and JT have never taken more than 5 quarts. So from 2018 they've taken 5 quarts (5.5 if totally dry from a rebuild, etc.) For someone to screw up TODAY, in 2024 or 2025, it's just crazy. And 1 quart won't cause blue...
  10. Top 5 list of issues discussed across this site

Oil never came up that AI has to be off.
  11. Top 5 list of issues discussed across this site

I asked AI to review JeepGladiatorForum and pull together the top 5 recurring issues across all Jeep JT Gladiator model years. This is not an official defect list, and it is not based on one-off complaints. The goal was to look for issues that came up repeatedly in multi-owner threads...
  12. Possibly trading my 2020 JTR 3.6 for a 2021 JTRD

Don't make any decision on the fear of the internet/cams. On the flip side, don't make a decision based on fear of the diesel issues, either. Some have the diesel and have no no real issues - same for the 3.6 - millions of them out there with no problems at all. Do it if you WANT a diesel...
  13. Do you all think quality has gone DOWN?

I'd love to find factual percentages and numbers by model year - as opposed to "it's on the internet so it has to be a major, massive issue with hundreds of thousands of them - the internet says so". So far we don't know out of the roughly 7 to 10 million PUG engines how many have cam/follower...
  14. Aftermarket, Third Party Warranties: Yes? No? Maybe?

That is always the risk of buying used is you are buying somebody else's bag of crap. Plenty of posts of people saying they are trading in their JT's the first sign of misfire and valvetrain problems. Someone is buying that pig in a poke second hand. Would be interesting if you had a scan...
  15. Any 2020 Gladiator Owners Still Here?

2020 still here. Bought new in August 2020. 30k miles. Only real issue has been a leaky back window. dealer "fixed" it once. I took care of it the second time. I had the aluminum steering box replaced. It wasn't giving me problems at the time. I just figured I'd get it done while it was...
  16. Purchasing Used Gladiator

The rear end thing was about early gladiators period. My 2020 was built pre covid and the whole rear end assembly was replaced under warranty because it popped really loudly when turning at low speeds. 2020 3.73 with trashlock. However, I’d much rather have a pre-covid parts quality issues and...
  17. engine replacement advice request

This stresses me out.. mine is getting a new engine right now, $12k. It comes with a 2 year warranty but Im worried this truck(2020 JTO) will keep having problems.
  18. Thanks folks!

My 2020 Rubicon driven daily original batteries no problems whatsoever
  19. Thanks folks!

Mine are also original 2020 batteries no problems whatsoever driven daily
  20. engine replacement advice request

If that was the case, you would think that after the 2020 batch they would have corrected the issue. They are still producing cams that fail. The failures could be assembly failures or tech not replacing lifter assemblies or even lubrication problems. The more moving parts, the greater chance...
