  1. 2020 Launch edition, Trailer Running Lights Have never worked since new.

Hey guys seeking some insight on the issue I’ve had since the truck was new. Factory tow package, trailer works fine connected to any other vehicle (7-pin) however when hooked to my launch edition gladiator, everything works but the running lights. I have checked all fuses removed, inspected, and...
  2. 2021 main battery replaced under warranty 24k miles

I'm glad your Jeep is trucking along OK. It took 3 visits to the dealer before they replaced my main battery. The battery was good by most standards, but not good enough to pass the Jeep systems poll to enable the stop/start. And while my Jeep worked as designed for 6 weeks after the new...
  3. Beware 3.6 Penstar

63,000 miles on my 2020 Overland and 0 problems.
  4. Halogen Headlights are terrible

Ditto with mine. So high high beams did nothing. Adjusted correctly and all's good.
  5. Dealer Trying to Void Warranty

I know from experience - and law. They can't void a warranty so simply. Some will try, and some mods will void specific areas or parts - but you are very incorrect on your statements about what will void a warranty. We've discussed it all here for years, in numerous threads. And now you lay out...
  6. How reliable has your gladiator been?

Sorry you're having such a bad experience. I was in a similar situation years ago with a Jetta TDI and airbags. At times, its extremely frustrating. I had a 2018 JLUS, V6, for 2 years and the only thing that happened was a rear defroster wire detached, which was repaired quickly under...
  7. Battery Strategy

I am the lucky owner of 2 2020 Jeeps. One is a JT, one is a JLU. I had some start/stop trouble with the JLU. It took 3 visits to the dealer before they fixed it by installing a new main battery. Everything has worked since then. I was a little concerned about having on old battery paired...
  8. Nothing but problems

I see you're in Maryland. What dealership?
  9. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I'm not sure if they intentionally shadow dropped it or what, but JCR now offers an interior rear window molle panel for the JT. Noticed it a couple days ago on their website. https://www.jcroffroad.com/product/JTRWP.html
  10. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

I expect that some of the problems are the nut behind the wheel (i.e. poor experience with a MT).
  11. Survey- For those with misfire issues

Please do update on what they find under the hood. My 2020 has the tick too and it's hard for me to figure that's due to a software issue. To be clear, I think there can be 2 distinct things. The software issue probably does exist, and something else (likely a cam) is causing the tick.
  12. Eco diesel or 3.6 gas??

You left out the best part, the plastic oil cooler that needs to be replaced every 40-60K miles due to it cracking. The diesel poll in the diesel section says otherwise. Actual engine-related issues are about 1%, the other 4-5% are either emissions or fuel pump-related. I haven't seen anyone...
  13. Towing 16' airstream?

What bleda2002 said. The HA also has the wider axles, even though it's 3.73 ratio, so it's going to tow at least as well as my Overland does, if not be a tad better due to the width, when towing a trailer like you are talking about. My 2022 Overland 3.6 gasser with 3.73 gears tows my 5,000 pound...
  14. Leaking axle seal?

That's what is baffling me! IF, and I don't know this for a fact, but it "looks like a pattern" - IF the 2020s didn't leak, why do they have to go back to engineering? OR, did they find other problems or flaws in the 2020 design, they tried to fix that and broke the right seal area and now have...
  15. anyone else experience leaks from these 2020 Gladiator axle / differential "seal points"?

Are you talking where the tube is welded to the housing? Not sure what you mean by "seal point". The only thing I can think of is - impact, something broke things loose. And if your steering wheel is way off, that's another indication of "possible impact". (you can't always tell by looking - my...
  16. 2022 Jeep Gladiator (JT) ORDER GUIDE!! [Updated Monthly]

Yeah, much the same here. Truly, all first world problems. Still, I’ve been both frugal and smart with my money and I’m just doing my part to responsibly enjoy it. I recall wanting to paint my first car and Jeep from 30 years ago a color close to Mojito with small black accents and I’d just...
  17. Am I trying to pull too much?

My take - I treat towing conservatively. Here's why - I tow travel trailers, fifth wheelers, vehicle trailers, boats, and work trailers. I used to work for GM (engineer and industrial designer). I've never had a problem with overloading, rear suspension sag, broken shocks, braking, powering...
  18. For everyone that has electrical issues, replacing the batteries doesn't have to be the first thing you do.

On my youtube channel, there are a few things I always so. One is constantly check your vehicle or issues. Especially when you come off the trail. And if you have issues, make sure you find out what the issue is before you start spending money replacing parts. Deleting a battery or changing to...
  19. Steering locked while driving

That's a good idea, the bump of the kick down impacts something that isn't as tight as it should be. For what its worth, we have some undeveloped land up here with a 1000 ft driveway. I ran it down that driveway at 30 mph with the truck hammering and bumping pretty well. no problems.
  20. Is the Ecodiesel finally finished?

Adding my 2cents here.... I had a 2020 ZR2 with the Duramax, other than the fact it was quite slow I absolutely loved everything else about it; the low end torque and control on trails was amazing, mpg's were fantastic, the ZR2 itself handled way better in all situations so far over my Mojave...
