  3. tubular lightbars in a world of cookie cutter brackets.

Yes and no. I did end up finding a solid one by metal cloak but, they are really proud of it and it was out of my price range. so, I spend 3X what they wanted and got the Maximus 3 sports rack instead and mounted some lights up there. it actually worked out because now I've turned it into...
  4. Transmission throwing check engine light.

In what world is this ok?! My previous vehicle is a 2012 Nissan Xterra Pro 4X. It's NEVER been to the dealership. I still have it and I trust it more than my 2024 Gladiator. I don't see myself keeping this thing any longer than 3 years or 36,000 miles 🫤

  6. Examine Your Oil Filters

Thanks for posting this. I have been diligent at frequency of changes and keep an eye on filters. I didn't think about laying them flat for inspection. Sounds like pennzoil was the best for cleaning deposits. I ask because my JT is down for right side rockers and intake cam.
  7. Transmission fluid or not!

The lab tech called me today to say the “synthetic spike” in the Mopar 8/9 speed ATF isn’t as prevalent as AMSOIL’s ATF (making comparisons) so varnish markers can be detected but I only have 20k kms (12k miles) on this sample and as of now, there is no detectable varnish markers. As I...
  8. The Red Rubi Build Journey Begins

Installed a 1-1/2" Terraflex Leveling Kit after adding the OEM steel bumper and winch. Was perfect leaving just a small amount or rake to offset cargo loads. Added a pair of Ironman 5" Universal LED lights. These are really well built combo lights with a 6500 lumen rating connected to Aux 1...
  9. Any other metal options for bumper close out panel?

I ran with a Smittybilt X2O G3 and Grimm winch plate. The Maximus 3 closer plates were a very easy install. The grill does not need to be removed to install these. I had it off to run wires for some Ironman lights being installed at the same time. With the grill off it looked like the...
  10. Any other metal options for bumper close out panel?

Thanks. What winch do you have?
  11. Any other metal options for bumper close out panel?

I'll be installing the Maximus 3 later today on my Rubi. I didn't find any other options when I was looking around. It seems like a decent enough option. I'll post a follow-up after installation
  12. Any other metal options for bumper close out panel?

...prior threads here), and wanted to see what other options are available before I decide what to do. I remember seeing a single piece one several years back, but I can't find it anywhere now. Thanks guys...
  13. OIL, 0-20 or otherwise (couldn't find the other oil threads)

I would bet some of that will vary with the oil itself. Generically saying 0w20 leaves a lot of room for variance in the additives. The winter number - 0W - is more dependent on the base oil, the other number will depend on the formulation. I have to suspect some will hold up better than...
  14. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I went down in front of grill, through the hole in the frame to the outside, and then the route you can see. Wire loom over everything while going through frame hole.
  15. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

...to the left of the headlight, viewing from this angle. Kept the wires away from the PS pump and other things that move down there. The Maximus-3 cover plates pretty much keep things hidden. I thought about using the heat shield wrap along the part of the wires on the headlight, but these...
  16. My Gladiator

Build it your way the look you like I put the mopar lift and 35's on my first eco diesel Jt but when I got my second ecodiesel Jt I went 3'lift and 37's it didn't take me long to swith the first one to 37's I like the ride and love the look. But I'm running the ecodiesel so fuel mileage is still...
  17. Trans pan bolts...

Exactly a great way to do pan bolts - be it a SBC 350 oil pan or a transmission pan on a TF998 or these. Half, 3/4, then full. You can't go wrong. Cleanliness is God in automatic transmissions. As we were taught in class (an entire semester on transmissions and differentials) the clearance...
  18. Automatic Transmission fluid change interval s on 2021 JT

You seem to be quite bent out of shape over an attempt at levity. The irony is you posting a video of someone who is supposedly recommending a flush when I thought you learned that is not a good idea. I didn't watch the video. My remark was based on the comment from another poster that the...
