  1. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Added the AVS Aeroskin. I don't have delusions of grandeur that it will stop rocks (or even bugs) BUT it did reduce some soft-top noise!
  2. Gladiator as “Only” Vehicle?

I have had my JT Rubicon since May 24 and have put over 5000 miles on it with several long trips with two Elementary age children. It should be ideal as an everyday driver, however, I have to have Bluetooth / hands-free to make work calls. There is a real issue with hands-free/Bluetooth. It...
  3. How do Gladiators handle on the highway?

Coming from a lot of Tacomas, currently a 04 lifted Tacoma CrewCab on 33s, and a 13 JK sport 2door on 35s, the handling was in the middle between the two, which is not great. My JK was a white knuckler anything over 40. First thing I did was reduce the tire pressure from 42 to 36. Helped a...
  4. Bed rack/storage for kayaks

Gotcha. I had similar internal debates, they're all a compromise in some way. Given it's a truck with a fairly small bed, I didn't want to reduce bed storage at all, hence the high rack, but it does sacrfice some fuel mileage when stuff is put up there. When nothing is on it, it doesn't make...
  5. Heat coming from floor/under seat ?

I’d like to see pictures if you don’t mind. Thanks
  6. Heat coming from floor/under seat ?

I’ve not experienced any issues with the Gladiator heat from under the seat or drivetrain panel next to pedals, but installed this material to better insulate temperature and mainly help reduce road noise. Maybe if you are having these heat problems it will help, if coming from the floor panels...
  7. Hard top accessories

Congrats on your Gladiator and welcome to the Jeep family! I can't help with the Sunrider or sun shade questions, but I can tell you that I drove a JKU with a hardtop in Montana for two years and it definitely gets colder during the winter than a traditional vehicle would. That being said, it...
  8. Midsize shootout review: Gladiator vs Ranger, Tacoma, Colorado (Autoblog)

There are some upgrades to the carpet/padding that will help. Dynamat would make a big difference.
  9. Midsize shootout review: Gladiator vs Ranger, Tacoma, Colorado (Autoblog)

Nothing really, the road noise is mainly because of wind due to the "Wrangler" shape. The Falken Wildpeak A/T's are really quiet. FWIW, I barely notice it most of the time, unless on the expressway.
  10. Midsize shootout review: Gladiator vs Ranger, Tacoma, Colorado (Autoblog)

Thanks for the post. I wonder what can be done to reduce the road noise? Seems that is all they really complained about other than the price.
  11. How significant is the Hardtop Headliner Option?

It's subtle, but the hardtop liners do reduce noise and insulate a bit. I only have the liners on the front of my hardtop and frost/ice melts much faster over the rear of the hardtop. They also change the feel of the interior, when you effectively replace the white roof with the black liners...
