Yep. Default is soft top on all jeeps on the sticker but any package or mention of the freedom hard top replaces it unless you order the dual top option then the soft top comes in a bag while the hard top comes installed. There's the disclaimer after standard equipment that says optional...
I got the soft top as soon as I bought my JT so no need for the hard top, black in color. It comes with all the bolts and defrost wire plus freedom panels and the storage bag for them. New is about $2,300 or so, I'm asking $1,700. Let me know if you want pics or have any questions. I'm in the...
HEY THERE FINE PEOPLE OF JEEPGLADIATORFORUM!
My name is Bobby, I work in San Angelo Tx and we came across a very nice 2020 Gladiator Rubicon with only 490 miles! Let me know if you're interested. We offer delivery and convenient remote paperwork options. We also work with national lenders or...
I recently traded my hardtop for a soft top and really prefer this option overall.
That said, I also have a Mopar bimini top and it really solves this problem that started this post. You get the best of both worlds.
Another option is ordering a waterproof canvas off Amazon...
It takes me longer to zip up the bag for the freedom panels than it does to take them off.
It takes me longer than 5 minutes - but less than 20 - to get the rest of the top off and stored.
I would probably be interested in a "soft top" that is just a fabric cover with minimal parts for...
My build sheet had the hardtop parts module listed on it, even though it came from the factory with the premium soft top. Once you get your Jeep you can pop the rear cover to see if the defroster wiring is there. If it is, you will also already have the rear defrost button with your climate...
It IS easy - as far as the roof, the bolts line up so perfectly well that once you get them about a half-turn or so loose with the tool, they come out fast via finger. Disconnect the harness for the rear window defrost - about 1 minute.
I lower my roof lift, hook it up and guide the roof up...
Looks like we’re going to be twins. I ordered a StingGrey Rubicon diesel on Saturday. SoftTop though.
My order said Phoenix area also??? 26R also??? Build priority 01 also??? In the same boat as you.
Just wanted to check a few things about our Gladiator order. We placed it on the 9/17/20 The dealer or Jeep picked it up on 9/23/20 I have the VIN and the window sticker also the VON# It states status D
Firm schedule: serial number
is assigned. It also states Build Priority: 01 what...
We owned a JK before the JT. The first time trying to remove the doors on the JK was really tough. They were a bit corroded (so it seemed) and were really difficult to remove. The weight of the front doors also was surprisingly heavy, manageable but heavy.
I took all doors and hardtop off...
Traded my Gladiator in for a Ram. I have a bunch of stuff for sale. Everything has less than 5k miles. Prefer not to ship, can meet within a reasonable distance. Everything is posted on FB marketplace pm me and I can send you alink with more pictures.

Easy install, you will need that little string to stretch the bungees around eye loops. Great shade, only issue I see is constantly needing to stretch the shade’s fabric to unlatch the freedom panels will loosen the fabric.
If you got the full shade like I have, make sure you pay attention to...
I would say for any of these type covers your best case scenario at this point is having the freedom panels in place in heavy rain, even if they're just sitting there. Otherwise any temporary soft cover is going to tend to pool water in heavy rain. I haven't seen them yet for JLs or JTs, but...
Black FreedomTop® 3–Piece Hard Top $1,195
Rear Sliding Window
Rear Window Defroster
Freedom Panel Storage Bag
This is part and parcel of the 3-Piece hard top accessory package. IMO you were duped.
Received my Rain Gear cab cover Friday! Visited their website on 16 July and noticed the cover listed with a price, rather than "Out of Stock". Immediately submitted my order...woohoo! This cover is heavy. I originally wanted the Mopar cover which is lighter weight and smaller when folded...
I have both the hardtop and soft top. I am running the soft top now and I like it a lot !
Regarding storing the freedom panels, I found an easy solution - without having to strap it down...
1. Put a nice wide strap across the trail trails approx. near the middle of the bed, and leave it...
