They sell kit for the repair want to say price is like around 500.00 USD.
Yes in your case because if you aren't mechanically inclined it would serve you well to have it so the dealer could do repairs if needed
So you think it might be prudent to maybe opt for the extendedwarranty?
The rockers, cams and lifters seem to be the main thing with this engine, any idea the cost of doing this out of warranty?
However, seems like the auto transmission is bulletproof, have not seen any complaints about it

...parking lot. Rubitrux changed out the gears a few years ago, but other than that, everything between the axles is stock. Jeep has just over 30k miles on it and has the 120k mile extendedwarranty though Jeep. Just thought I'd hop in here and get some input before contacting the dealer. Thanks!
If this turns out to be another cam/lifter failure......this might be the best audio representation of this issue ever captured. Good work.
I didn't capture it on video, but the 5.7 in my Grand Cherokee had a similarly noticeable change in sound when it wiped it's cam. I recall thinking that it...
...with me the day after I picked up my vehicle. Jeep Cares said they were going to offer me a compensation package that included an extendedwarranty and some kind of compensation for being without my vehicle for over three weeks. In exchange I would have to sign legal documents that would...
...not big enough to present as a leak but big enough to prevent the pressure to build in the tank. So your first suggestion of the cap was spot on. Anyway I have an extendedwarranty and fortunately they had the tank and after a week of driving I am pronouncing it cured. Thanks for your help.
...to let it sit? haven’t been able to reproduce it. it was just that one time I noticed yesterday after about 3 hours of towing.
like I said. 3 weeks of factory warranty where if anything os crapped out they fix it. I have an extendedwarranty but I am cheap and don’t like paying deductibles. Lol
He has a 2020 Gladiator and probably way out of any bumper to bumper warranty and powertrain would not cover it either. That leaves any extendedwarranty he may have purchased and those generally will not cover point to point wiring either but just the components.
This may be a stupid question. I bought a new gladiator. I just found out about the auxiliary battery. Does it only work the start/stop function? What happens if you unplug the auxiliary battery ? Will the vehicle crank?
2023 gladiator v6 turbo Willys s sport edition truck. I noticed my auto stop start not turning on. everything else works & scroll through menu it is fine far as voltage 14.3, temps, etc. got full tank of gas & I even tried turning off the A/C & all auxiliary items & tried pushing in the button...
Thank you for the clarification. As I suspected, the manufacturer now is beginning the warranty period on the in service date which can either be when purchased or when used as a company vehicle or a dealer demo. Buyers need to keep that in mind when purchasing a vehicle in those situations and...
I fully agree, grease should be king here. I might have to check the date on last actuator install. Maybe its still under warranty? And, yes they wanted $600 for the last one, before I proved my extendedwarranty. I will add both fobs, new batteries...
Well a free lifetime warranty should have thrown the red flag. You still have the factory warranty. Once you reach 36K I would feel confident all issues has been worked out. I'm on my second Gladiator. I've only been to the dealership one time for the steering box replacement on my 2020. I...
I’ll even help your advice… I didn’t pay anything for the “extendedwarranty”
You’re likely spot on. You guys have been helpful listening to me snivel about this crap. Just trying to protect my interests. 😀👍
