    I went with the obd2 port type. No wiring of any kind. It took just a few minutes to tuck the wire away. Either of the items you and Sharpsickle list will work fine, jus a bit more work.

    Do you have the factory installed AUX Switches? If so, there is a switched hot wire in the bundle of six under the glove box.
