  1. Lost Second Gear Again!!

That's what I found about my T5 - changed to Penzoil Synchromesh fluid and my T5 started acting like a new transmission.
  2. Better gas mileage than expected??

LOL - I do, but that's the OCD part of me. Dammit it's a 22 gallon tank! It says I have 25 miles left thus I have between 1 and 2 gallons left - it should take 20-20.5 gallons. Mine usually clicks off at about 19 with 25-30 left on the cluster. I have also found that the cluster MPG average is...
  3. What did you do TO your Gladiator today?

I spent a couple of hours trying to remove those damned KS and NE BUGS from everywhere - the winch, the bumper, in the bumper, in the lights, in every nook and cranny, where all the parts of the grill go together, way back in those spots you can't get anything into to clean bugs out. Imagine...
  4. Better gas mileage than expected??

Overland gets about 18.5 doing 70-75 in Nebraska and Kansas - all down hill, LITERALLY, going FROM Colorado to Iowa, an elevation drop of about 2 miles
  5. Better gas mileage than expected??

Stock tires? Going by the cluster numbers or real calculated numbers? Have you checked your odometer using an independent GPS app? (not connected to the truck via USB) Even my stock Overland couldn't do that. Maybe under 65, yes, but not at 70+. It's a bloody BRICK.
  6. Anyone know how to install a some kill switch to the Gladiator?

Why gotta be kidding? There are holsters for all sorts of things, it works and it works fine. I do NOT carry my other keys with my truck fob. I don't want them connected together. It's a habit I have - house key, shop key, NOT with any car key. You've never had a job in security or...
  7. Anyone know how to install a some kill switch to the Gladiator?

You are asking for complications...... Why not get a holster. It hangs from belt loop or whatever, out of the way and with passive entry, I literally never touch it unless hooking it on or taking it off when I get home and hiding it. I often forget I even have it there. IMO, it's much ado...
  8. Anyone know how to install a some kill switch to the Gladiator?

My son is into that stuff - programming the Raspberry Pi etc. - and teaching his son, now 7, to program with it. For now - games, but I know my grandson and his fascination with tools and cars - it won't stop there. Look for him in a neighborhood near you in a few years LOL Odd your vehicle...
  9. Anyone know how to install a some kill switch to the Gladiator?

And that's your point. IF the owner starts it with the FOB on their person, then leaves - that's one thing. But a remote start won't leave it driveable without the FOB. Also if you leave the vehicle with it running and the FOB is on your person, the thing screams "FOB has left vehicle" - I've...
  10. Surprise! Not as secure as I thought

So some folks may get a whole lot more range than others? LOL
  11. What octane gas do you guys run

Idle doesn't even have much for timing so that would be totally WEIRD, unlikely........... Advancing of timing is to compensate for the time it takes to burn a charge, and the speed of the engine. High RPM means less time to fully burn so you light the fuse sooner, at idle, though, there's...
  12. Everybody is different...

    Such as 2020 Sport Gladiator...........
  13. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Well, it's better than having a truck that's taller with less height. Maybe in the quantum world...... I assume you work for a the government department of redundancy department? J/K It's Friday........ oh, wait, big whoop, I'm retired.........
  14. Anyone move from a fullsize pickup to a Gladiator and regret it?

The car was bought from a guy who said he was a professional body man. Looks nice - but under the skin are problems. I already have a new old stock left fender to replace the one on the car with so much high-build primer that it actually cracked when I leaned on it, had been looking for a...
  15. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

That's one of the most clear VERY close-up pic I've seen. Wow, good job.
  16. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

Likely referring to the dash harness. There was talk that some Jeeps didn't have the dash harness, some did. That's why there's posts in this thread about which pins to look for on the body harness going through the dash. I've never seen talk of the door harness having that small connector...
  17. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

Even if it was an Overland or Rubicon, you'd need the door harness. So far as I've seen the door harnesses don't contain the needed connector and extra wires for Passive entry. Passive entry is an option on Overland - but mine didn't have the door harness for it.
  18. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

JSCAN, AlfaOBD, Tazer, or other similar software or device.
  19. Surprise! Not as secure as I thought

People in towns where the Jeep is in a driveway or parked along the street - key fob hanging on a hook next to the door which is on an outside wall. What, 30-50 feet? Too easy. All one needs to do is drop it into something that blocks RF - or at least keep it in the house away from outside...
  20. What octane gas do you guys run

HAHA - detail. You'd scream if it was Monday and you were told the steering gear for your JT was coming in "a couple of days" and it turned into a week from Tuesday. You would expect it on Wednesday. Couple is two. And our point is that Jeeps since 2016 don't have a problem either, other than...
