I'm just going to take it to a dealer here that I've had good experiences with... it's under federal emissions warranty (8yrs/80k) as it only has 40,000 miles and is 5 years old.
I can only get one 90 day exemption in the history of the vehicle per AZ. I *think* the dealer can do a standing...
Thank you.
It all started from a battery going dead... I had to replace both batteries (AUX + Main) and therefore it lost all memory. This happened right before I had to test for emissions.
I purchased a JSCAN-approved wireless OBD II dongle from Amazon that arrives tomorrow. I'm hoping I can...
Yeah just picked one up on Amazon for $50 but doubtful itāll tell me that. But thatās ok. As long as it tells me if itās ready or not in the I/M area.
Yeah, I'm going go to back to the MVD and show someone else the failed test and see if they'll extend my 30 day. I ordered a couple OBD II ones that'll show I/M status, so hopefully then it's not a shooting in the dark situation when I go to get it tested.
Sorry to bump. But I can't get my '21 Gladiator ecodiesel to pass in AZ. Those two monitors are the ones that are NOT READY, and even in 1000 miles, will not go to READY. So somehow this vehicle will pass emissions in California, but not Arizona. Makes me wonder why those are exempted in Cali.
I know this thread is old but dealing with the same issue now. I've put 1000 miles on my Gladiator ecodiesel and it refuses to pass emissions. There's nothing wrong with the vehicle... no CEL, nothing. Just on the ADEQ (Arizona) print out, it shows:
NMHC CATALYST: NOT READY
NOX/SCR: READY...
yep. As I was going down this rabbit hole I figured best case Iād have a spare old battery now but not even that.
Itās fine tho ā two new quality batteries that should keep me good for another 2-3 years until they fail and I get two new free ones š
yeah makes sense. I didnāt get the aux switch disabled messages after the battery replacement only noticed the ess not going to ready. But yeah all good now. The main battery I took out dropped down to 12.2 today with nothing connected, itās toast.
Didn't hold -- dropped down from 12.95 to 12.5 in about ~4 hours, so running Noco Genius 10 repair mode. Kinda thinking both will just get returned to Oreilly's to refund the core charge.
Great video. I'm surprised you feel like you'd need to regear a diesel though with 37's. Any reason? I have found the 3.73's to be OK even running 39" KM3s on beadlocks. Don't get me wrong, it's not perfect, but I still hit 8th on freeway and mileage is OK (~20-21 highway, 16-17 city). I suppose...
I did replace both batteries at the same time -- wasn't going to just replace one.
Yeah, I should have just charged them to full to start, didn't do that. ESS is working again -- it took about 5 hours of actual driving over about 5 ignition cycles, and one overnight. My clock still hasn't...
It's 50/50. I've had them come back from 6v before, but never 4v. My previous 392 had a battery get down to like 6.6 or something and it came back and lasted another 2 years. However, that didn't have an AUX battery connected to the system, and it never got an 'X' on the charger. So I'm a bit...
