First off, I agree the ram tailgate is horrible looking. The swing tailgate just makes it easier to reach farther into the bed when loading and unloading stuff. My current truck is so tall that I cannot bend over the tailgate to load stuff, I have to slide stuff into it off the tailgate. So...

Keep the tailgate swing out like a jl. Or maybe like a ridgeline and have it go both ways.

When the JT does come out, it will be unique in the segment. I think there are people out there who want a Jeep, but aren't ready to give up their truck. This gives them the ability to have both. I feel it will do very well.
