I'll have to start this with I KNOW how stupid this make me sound. Luckily with age I have come to accept I'm not the smartest guy in the room, even when I'm alone.
I hadn't drive my jeep in 2 weeks because I was away. I got in and pressed the start button and it didn't turn over. Dead...
I asked AI to review JeepGladiatorForum and pull together the top 5 recurring issues across all Jeep JT Gladiator model years. This is not an official defect list, and it is not based on one-off complaints. The goal was to look for issues that came up repeatedly in multi-owner threads...
thanks, this isn't the JKU Its my 2020 gladiator. I guess this is what I get for not being on FaceBook lol. I found this yesterday and of course my warranty end in December. Thanks for the info, I will try to find some of the posts on this.
I can't believe this, well actually I'm sure we all can. I noticed some bubbling on my hood. Looks like it might be rusting from the inside right on the edge. I opened the hood and looked at the weather stripping. I guess some road salt must have gotten past this weather stripping because it...
It’s important to distinguish between inflation and price increases due to other reasons. $1.00 in 2021 is worth $1.116 today. So a $50,000 truck in 2021 would cost $58,000 today simply adjusted for inflation. I’m not saying that accounts for all of the price increases but sometimes it’s...
I have seen these but I am not in love with needing to drill to mount them. I was thinking someone probably makes something that mount to the molar bed rail that came with my rubicon but I haven’t seen anything. Or maybe someone has other ideas of cargo boxes that don’t require drilling to...
This is my weekend cruiser. That scrambler made me want to post a pic of it. She’s 100% stock except for the tires. The little 4 banger ain’t much but me and the girls seem to make it to the ice cream shop just fine. I get why guys drop a Chevy 350 in these, but I smile every time I drive it...
There are a few small Items I use fairly regularly like small ratcheting tie down, gloves, and small hand tools that I keep under or behind the back seat. I always find myself wanting just a little more storage. I know people make a storage solution that goes into the tailgate, and that would...
Thanks that’s very helpful. The dealer replaced the battery 18 months ago and probably put in some piece of junk. I think I just need to put in a real good quality battery.
Does anyone have any real world experience on how long you can leave a gladiator parked with no activity before the battery won't start. I am driving a 2nd car and had mine sitting for about 10 days. I moved it in and out of the driveway so there were probably 2 times it was started and move...
So many people on these forums have been helpful to me that I thought I would post to close the loop on this now that I finally figured it out. It was the main battery not AUX battery. I truly did not think it was a battery until I realized that whenever the truck sat for several hours the...
I pulled the f42 fuse an disconnected the negative bat lead from the aux battery. The main battery is less than a year old and I just charged it overnight. I think it is probably the aux battery bypass. I’m going to revert back later this week and see if it stops defaulting to the voltage screen.
In the above video you can see when I started the jeep this morning the dashboard was displaying voltage. That isn't the screen I shut it off on last night. The strange thing is if I shut off the jeep but turn it right back on it starts on the screen it shut off on. It's like the jeep is trying...
I’m not exactly sure what this is called by I am talking about the center display that’s between the tach and speedometer. I believe there are 8 or 9 displays you can cycle through. I’ve been having a start stop issue and so I had by monitoring my battery voltage and on that screen a lot...
Thanks, I agree. I know it's the battery for a lot of people, it was for me a while ago it's not this time. I put a code scanner on it and didn't get a code. I put a different scanner on and I saw 1 count of a misfire. What seems like an interesting data point is when I bypassed the 2nd battery...
It is not still under warranty. I haven’t had a chance to charge it yet but I did drive it for two hours today. I did the aux delete so if it’s anything it’s the main but I don’t think it is that. About a week before this light came on I started the truck and the idle seemed rough but I was...
Thanks for the advice. I just did the aux battery bypass and I’m still getting the error. Since both batteries are less than 18 months old I didn’t think this was the issue. I will charge the main to make sure but its read 12.8 volts when off so I think its good. Any other ideas?
Thanks
Chris
Thanks, I think I will give this a try. If I do this do you think I need to leave the batteries disconnected to "reset " anything to get rid of the ess unavailable error?
