  1. Drivers Side Heat blows Cold Airor about Half Heat when it works

Did anyone get this resolved? I have a similar issue. 45 - 60 degree outside temp. I can have the driver's side temp set to 80 degrees, passenger set to 73, and the drivers side will blow cold,, passenger side will blow warm. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but happens frequently. If I...
  2. If you could do it over - What would you change?

I drove off the lot within 2 hours of first seeing and gricing the Gladiator, so I didn't spend much time thinking about it, which is exceptionally rare for me. If I had it to do over, I would only make a couple of minor changes. I probably would have bought blue or black instead of the...
  3. What was your ride before the JT?

2012 JKU Rubicon. I fit in the JK, don't fit in the JL, but fit in the Gladiator, so it was really my only choice. It's not like I'm going to drive something else...
  4. I want a Gladiator but I’m concerned it’s not safe enough for a family vehicle

I am safety conscious, and I don't have any concerns with the safety of my Gladiator. My kids are now grown, but I wouldn't have had any concerns putting them in this vehicle. Something to keep in mind with the IIHS crash testing is that they test against a force equal to the size and weight...
  5. Worst part about Jeep ownership

Depends on what you are buying. My wife just bought a new JLU, needed Weathertec floor mats, Red Rock side steps, and a hitch. All coming within a week.
  6. Brakes kinda suck

Yeah, the Grand Cherokee is a 2018 Overland - absolutely excellent vehicle. Very comfortable, very responsive, ergonomically very good, all the safety features, the closest to perfect of any vehicle I've owned, including two 325i convertibles. We have the panoramic room, but it's still not...
  7. Brakes kinda suck

Thanks for all of the feedback. Based on your comments, my guess is that I have a problem with the brakes on my vehicle - I'll get them checked next week. As I said above, the problem that I have is that they are inconsistent - sometimes don't brake enough toward the end of a stop, sometimes...
  8. Brakes kinda suck

Thanks for the input everyone - 100% stock (unless you count a bed cover and trail rails)
  9. Brakes kinda suck

I've had my Gladiator for 5 months, about 6000 miles, and it seems like the brakes kind of suck. I'm not a leadfoot, but it seems like either I'm always coming up to a stop too quickly, or the brakes are kind of grabbing. I didn't have any issues in my two JKUs, and I've had Grand Cherokees...
  10. Automated car wash issue

I have a monthly pass to a local wash, so I get my Gladiator washed 2-3 times a week. During the winter it was daily. No issues whatsoever.
  11. Mopar Trail Rail Kit Installation

1.25" if I recall correctly. I just matched the same length as the Torx, but I think that's what it was.
  12. Things I don’t like about my new Gladiator

For the key fob, has anyone checked to see if the dealer could reprogram a Grand Cherokee fob to work on the Gladiator? The GC still has the proximity entry, the only command that wouldn't apply is the tailgate open, and I don't care whether I have the emergency key or not.
  13. Things I don’t like about my new Gladiator

I didn't think of it, but agree completely on the mirrors when towning. I think that's part of why I want to be able to leave the backup camera on. That is just Jeep building a Wrangler with a bed instead of an actutal pickup.
  14. Things I don’t like about my new Gladiator

4 months and 4000 miles into owning my Gladiator, after 12 years in a JKU: Overall happy - I don't have any of the drivability issues outlined in the OP. The bed is much more useful than I expected. Jeep's design that allows you to add the 2x4s to create a flat surface works great for hauling...
  15. Best fitting all weather floor mats?

I have used WeatherTech in all of my Jeep vehicles over the years. Great quality, great fit, made locally, so you support local jobs.
  16. After owning my first Jeep, I’ve decided I hate Ohio.

Any day is warm enough if you are brave enough...
  17. Camping *city boy* helppppp

OK, this is a Jeep forum, but don't sleep in your pickup bed. Sleep in the tent. Don't drive places, hike around. The key to camping with kids is to get them involved, let them have their own gear to own and take care of, and to have some planned activities for when they are bored, but let...
  18. Mopar Trail Rail Kit Installation

I just did this project over the weekend. I cut out some of the bedliner but there was no way to thread the Torx bolts. I purchased a cheap Harbor Freight tap and die kit, used the M6 tap, and just threaded it by hand - medium finger pressure at most. It did a good job going through the...
  19. Trail rail system and tonneau cover?

I just installed the GatorFX cover, right after installing the Mopar trail rail system. They will both fit, but the lip of the cover almost completely covers the trail rail connectors. It will make it very hard to use them. I'm a bit disappointed because I asked Gator in advance before buying...
