Wow, that's a total butt raping! The mats are a $150 "option" on the window sticker, but they can easily be bought on Amazon Prime for ~$130! Losing the original carpet mats really makes it a terrible deal!
My thought is to leave the box, but remove the seat bottom. Then I'll build a new "floor" that is flat for as large as it can be in that area. Any pics of your pups in the space?
Thanks for sharing the pics! You are actually giving me hope that I can fit my dog in the same space you put the fridge. I'm thinking I can make a custom flat floor and my 60lb lab just might be able to lie down!

I'm very curious how this goes. The ONLY reason I haven't traded my JKU for a Gladiator to this point is we don't know how to handle the dog. We currently tow a pop up camper regularly with the JKU and we bring my 2 kids (4 and 6) both in car seats. My ~60lb 12 y/o lab gets the whole back of...
THANK YOU! I spent an hour at a dealer messing with the factory cover because some clown on Facebook INSISTED it locked. There was literally nothing I could do to get it to "lock". Now I know.
Traffic? I try to avoid that. Honestly, I'm so ingrained with manuals that I don't even notice it in traffic. If more people had manuals, we'd probably have less stop and go traffic!

I'm getting in on this because where to put my Shelby is the major issue stopping me from ordering a Gladiator right now!
I've got 2 kids (4 and 6) and a wife. In my JKU Shelbs goes in the back. My first thought was to put the 2 kids next to each other and then fold the "40" part of the...
Drove the JT last week. Rubicon obviously with the auto. Seemed like a typical auto. Did everything I hate about autos.
Drove a JLU Sport w/ 3.45s and the 6 spd manual. Loved it. Exactly what I wanted.
I'll be ordering my JT with a 6 spd. Get em while you can!

I have a dual top setup for my JKU. I like having the hard top for winter because it has real glass windows and a rear defroster. These are great for getting ice of the vehicle in the Northeast. I like having the soft top in the summer because the Sunrider opens up over the front and rear...
I was originally gonna say slow on the clutch, but I'm pretty sure I see reverse lights...so I think the driver hit the go pedal instead of the slow pedal!
I figured that would possibly be it. There is also this:

With the auto Jeep can spec exactly what load/rpm they need to keep the package cool. With the manual...the manufacturers can't control what the...
