I've owned mine since July 2019 and I've had to top it off a couple of times in 75k miles. The lid is extraordinarily hard to tighten. It's not like the old radiator or traditional overflow tank caps where it's easy with noticeable notches on the neck. I can totally see this happening.
I've been back and forth with a headliner since I bought mine in July 2019. Most of our traveling is done in the spring and summer months and I have a premium twill soft top that I swap to in April. The heater works so well, that I really don't feel like there's a need for extra insulation...
Maybe it's already been stated, but if your fog lights are already on and you use your turn signal, aren't they effectively being used as cornering lamps (if your high beams are off, of course)?
I bought my JTR in July 2019 and I've been through ALL the recalls. I managed to hold off on the final complete clutch replacement until it had 65k miles. It didn't need it, but it was nice to get a brand new two or three thousand dollar major maintenance item done for free. I've never had the...
I kept my stock antenna because when my soft top is installed and folded, it's the exact same height and let's me know that I'm not going to fit in this parking garage, drive thru, etc.
I've been a Rokblokz fan since installing them on my JTR in July 2019. I've wheeled them and they're tough as nails. They're also used by most WRC, Baja, and Dakar Rally teams.
It's definitely not a good idea to "allow" the interior to get wet. When my soft top is installed, I run in bikini/safari mode whenever I can, but if rain is possible, I'll replace the window and both corners. It only takes about three minutes to remove/replace them and I always store everything...
I do my own oil changes every 5k miles. I log the date, mileage, brand of oil and filter, and snap a photo of the store receipt where I bought everything. I do the same with the differential changes, too. I also popped for an extended warranty when I bought way back in July 2019. Highly recommended.
I came to say this, too. Cooling system capacity when towing at max weight at the highest rated ambient temperature probably combined with the CAFE standard.
I'm short, like your wife, and I swapped out my factory rock rails (I bought mine in July 2019, so they're the standard Rubicon ones) with a pair of Nfab rock rails that have removable steps. I've wheeled with them and bashed them a few times. They've been as strong as the OEM rails for me. Each...
I'd rather replace a handful of the plastic retainers or the flexible plastic fender than have to get body work done because my steel fenders ripped the sheet metal and/or bent the body just below the hood and in front of the door.
The emergency vehicle alert is SUPPOSED to be distracting. Alerts in general are designed to be distracting. It distracts me for two seconds, I tap the "ok" box, and if I'm fiddling with the radio or whatever, I stop and pay a little closer attention to the road.
