Can't I just make a big foil hat for the Jeep instead?
Seriously though, you said yourself that if someone really wants it they will get it. So the encrypted code seems like a lot of complicated effort and stuff that could fail and leave you stranded. Because none of that will stop a flatbed...
It's a soft top. A knife will defeat any security you think you have. If you're THAT concerned about it, a soft top jeep is probably not the ideal vehicle for you.
Hey, at least you're in a Jeep. I was gung-ho about getting a Gladiator. Hoped it would happen last year, then SWORE it would happen this year. Then covid hit and I had to dump my p.o.s. F150 because I couldn't afford it. Now I'm in a decent little Nissan Frontier. It's a good little truck and...
look at the height of the stripe in front of the flare. Then look at the stripe behind the flare. The rear section of stripe is absolutely higher than the front section. It's not a straight line and that is what both Exitleft and I are referring to. If you drew a straight line from the front...
I have the same issue and it triggers my OCD something fierce, but I still love the overall look. Some of the CJ7 Laredo had a stripe that angled up just behind the door and then ran horizontally along the tub. I've thought about pursuing that route whenever I finally can afford my JT. It...
Gotta be honest, I kinda like that it says Gladiator and not Scrambler, but I'm also kind of surprised it says that instead of Rubicon. However my OCD does not like that the decal is not centered on the hood panel.
Either way, I love the option. It looks fantastic. And seeing as how it says...
FYI, If your tonneau cover uses a cable that runs across the cover to the latches on the side, a clothes hanger and about 2.7 seconds is all that's needed to defeat that "locked and secure" truck bed. I always think of the tonneau cover as a way to keep things "out of sight, out of mind" but as...
trying to get out of my current F150, I test drove a 2012 JKu. It was a hardtop. I couldn't believe how bad the stock system sounded. It was absolutely HORRIBLE. Even worse than our TJ.
Has anyone here compared the JL system to the JT?
I had a JLU rental for a week last July. It had the base system and for me, it was perfectly fine. If the base JT system is comparable to the base JLU system, I feel no need to upgrade to the more expensive setup.
^^^THIS!!!!!^^^
This is EXACTLY how I feel about them on the TJ. On those chilly mornings, ride to work with the doors on. But going out to lunch or driving home, pop the doors off and toss em in the back. Plus, at least with the TJ doors, if you break each door down into the 2 PC's, all 4...
To add to this, the twill is a bit quieter and more a "sound absorbing" material. If you have the "premium" soft top, it is a twill material. If matching materials matters to you, then the twill is what you want. If you have the standard soft top it's more of a sailcloth material and the less...
Those mirrors look they would be mounted waaaaay too low for them have any use when the doors are on. I have no experience with the JK or JK/JT soft doors, but I know with the TJ doors, the visibility inside is slightly worse than with normal hard doors. With this said, I would DEFINITELY want...
From the logic you're using, an ARB should have the same problem. Both lock the axles 100% to each other. But I get what you're saying. This is a problem to worry about with any style of traction aid, whether it be an E-lock, an Air lock, a limited slip, a lunch box locker, etc. It's just nature...
This is just "old jeeper math" because on TJ/XJ/ZJ it was always said that the spacers were X" of lift but if you retained the factory isolator it would be an additional .5" of lift.
You are correct though, if the instructions say to retain it, then it would not add any lift because it was...
I have these for our TJ. They are perfect for those spring and fall mornings where its chilly in the morning but amazing in the afternoon. Doors on for the ride to work. Pop the doors off real quick to drive home and just toss them in the back. in the case of the TJ, split them apart and all 4...
For those of you looking to have seatbelt off and door open and still be able to move the jeep, PUT IT IN 4LOW. I had read on the JL forums to do this, so I tried it on my mom's 2017 ram (because she complained about the door open/non moving issue as well) and it worked with no issue. Sadly, I...
I'm right there with ya. I bought an F150 15 months before the Gladiator came out and I'm still too much underwater to get out of it. But I've been buying t-shirts, and this ornament and have even considered buying used take-off rock rails when they have popped up for a good price. All for a...
