I just received a call from River Oaks Jeep in Houston. Orders are indeed open, and they are honoring the Tread Lightly Discount (1% below MSRP).
A few notes of interest when ordering: Only Silver, Black, Red, and White are available to order and for some reason only leather seats (no cloth...
The first Gladiator in the Houston area that I could find for sale on the Jeep locator was asking for 10,000 over. Good luck with that, Mr. Dealer!

I can tell you they have not. I got a call from my dealer seeing i I wanted to place an order for one yesterday. I asked "I thought they had all sold out" and he said, as Travis said earlier, that Jeep had allocated multiple LEs to the same potential buyer, so they were still available for sale...
I've called around to a few Houston area dealerships and also have found no joy on any dealer that is willing to commit to much of anything in the way of discounts. I will say that AutoNation in Houston was the only dealer to state that they "may" charge over MSRP for the Gladiator. River Oaks...
Homerun, it's funny you say that, my dealer said regular orders begin 4/9.
She also said that some dealers were going to charge more than MSRP for orders from the factory, which is precisely the kind of hilarious fear mongering I enjoy.
I'm a lawyer which only proves I'm bad at math, but the State doesn't get to insert words into statutes to convict its citizens. It says equipped officer, not equipped and positioned in such a way to actually do anything. Further evidence in support of my position is that the drafters clearly...
Actually, I'd say the window down in Michigan is fine. It merely requires that the vehicle be equipped with the windshield, which it still is.
Kentucky, on the other hand, hates America.
Hah! As an attorney, I would love to see the case that KBB has to SUE Jeep for letting TFL review first. No one has a right to review the Jeep, much less the right to review it at the same time as everyone else. Jeep could deny any and everyone access to the vehicle until it hits showrooms, or...
I have no doubt that Jeep thinks what they're doing is in their best interests. I'm not ascribing malice. I just think its a silly marketing ploy that doesn't curtail the risks they fear or reap the benefits they perceive. For example, which would be better, from a newsworthy standpoint: one new...
Anyone who thinks that the Jeep people are skulking around these forums to set a price is vastly overstating the importance of the forums and vastly understating the amount of research that goes into pricing something like this. The price on this vehicle was set well before the vehicle began...
That's sort of my point. People have an idea what the price is (we can agree greater than 25,000, less than 70,000, surely) but all the various and sundry options are a complete crap-shoot. Is it $200 or $1500 for a ridiculous self-charging bluetooth speaker system? Who knows?! Accordingly...
Boy does it seem silly that all of these reviews are done and the footage is in, but we need to wait just shy of three weeks to see it. I get that Jeep wants the reviews to correspond to customer's ability to actually order, but this borders on the ridiculous. As if a review that said "Hey, this...
