One more data point for everyone:
2020 JTR
~20,000 miles
Auto Start Stop didn’t work and got warning about auxiliary buttons unavailable due to battery charging.
Both batteries were tested and replaced under warranty.
You live in SoCal just like me. Pick the premium soft top and enjoy our awesome weather all year round. I don't get why more Jeeps aren't optioned that way around here, I love being able to open and close my roof in a few seconds.
Sorry about your friend. It sounds like you are going through a rough time now. At the end of the day, people are more important than possessions. The purpose of life isn’t to collect more stuff but to help others. Maybe sell the Gladiator and use some of the money to help your friend’s family...
I used Kent at Peterson in Idaho. Drove back with my new Gladiator.

I picked up my Gladiator from Kent at Peterson in Idaho and drove back to SoCal. Good experience.

I understand that going out of state is not for everyone. Time / hassle factor is money. But I saved 11%+ off MSRP which translates to thousands of dollars saved. Even factoring time off and a one way plane ticket, I feel it was worth the effort. Hopefully everyone can find the best deal to...
I was also nervous about buying out of state but the numerous positive posts about Kent on Jeep forums reassured me. I had a positive buying experience and the price was exactly as stated. No surprises or add on.
If you don’t believe me, then watch Eddie from W*a*y*a*l*i*f*e buy a Gladiator...
SoCal dealers lost my business. I drove my brand new Gladiator back from Idaho. I couldn't find a local dealer willing to go as low as Kent at Peterson.
Even if you live in Crescent City, that’s only ~550 miles from Nampa, ID. If your local dealers are charging $5k over MSRP and Peterson CDJR is changing 7% below invoice, you could be saving $10k or more depending on your build. Even if you don’t drive, shipping it back should be less than $1k...

Can’t confirm but @HoldMyBeer posted 4% below invoice from Claremont CDJR.
For me, I’m going the Idaho route.
This will be my first jeep and planning on ordering a premium soft top. Glad to hear good reviews so far.
I’m still shocked at how many SoCal jeep owners opt for the hard top given our great weather.
Okay, I can’t expect “extensive” testing. How about any testing and engineering specially in regards to towing and cooling? How is this setup different than the one in a JL?
My fear is that this kit was primarily engineered for JK/JL and doesn’t take into account the special cooling...
The location of the intercooler looks like it blocks the stock radiator. Jeep engineers seemed very concerned about air flow/cooling during their press launch briefings. How will the aftermarket intercooler affect engine temps during towing? Have you guys done extensive testing with the...
