  1. IKamper Skycamp 3.0 feedback?

I've got a smartcap and 1.5x3.0 aluminum extrusions for crossbars. Anyone know if the new 3.0 mounting brackets will a)fit around the extrusions and b) not run into the top of the Smartcap? There is about 0.75 inches under the 1.5 inch thick extrusion. Thanks, Brian
  2. Diesel Engine issue tracking thread... also please post if NO issues!

I marked the last box as I'm on my second engine. The second one has been mostly flawless although I have had some of the temperature derating (twice).
  3. Anyone have Rok Blokz on a Gladiator diesel ?

Fit great on mine. Just posted pictures on another thread.
  4. Rok Blokz with Rockslide Engineering Step Sliders

I'm running both on mine and they worked together without any problems. I ordered the XL/regular length.
  5. Garage Hoist for Rack and RTT

This is what I did to remove my RTT, Rack and RSI Smartcap all at once or one at a time. I should have static eyebolts to hold it long term but haven't yet. They're still in the Home Depot bag.
  6. Nobody waves anymore.

This is my first Jeep. I received my first wave on my way out of the dealer parking lot when I picked it up. I wave all the time but, I'm not perfect. Brian
  7. Design Idea for Hardtop Removal / Storage

Yes, been there, done that and it works great!
  8. MPG at 95 mph.... sorta

Yes, I think a less aggressive lift would help. I've got coilovers and have thought about dropping it to a 3 inch lift (the minimum for my kit). Also I didn't mention that I have an RSI smartcap and a RTT on top right now. Those two things, or at least the RTT, would help if I took them off...
  9. MPG at 95 mph.... sorta

I drive up to Boise from Salt Lake City once a month. I have a 4 inch lift and 37's and once I get over 65mph the fuel efficiency tanks. I'm in the Ecodiesel and around town I get a comfortable 22mpg but on the way to Boise it will drop to 13-14mpg due to headwind and freeway speeds. Brian
  10. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

Yes, they did a forced regen. They said it shouldn't work because it only showed 29 percent full but when it was done they drove it around and never had another problem. I have had it derate since then but it didn't throw the exhaust code. Brian
  11. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

I had a similar situation with my JTRD on the way back from Boise. The computer said I needed a regen, but the filter was only 29% full. It still derated and went into limp mode with dash saying there was an exhaust problem and to take it to the dealer. The next 3 hours I was going between 45...
  12. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

So I just experienced something like this. I was driving home to Salt Lake City from Boise. Temps were about 103 and I had been going for about an hour on the freeway at 80mph. All of the temps read as within a normal range. The truck starts to slow down for no apparent reason and eventually...
  13. Cracked Engine Block

When I spoke to the service manager at the dealership, they said that they definitely wanted to look at this because it happened in a place that they've never seen before. I would definitely consider this a one-off manufacturing defect but I suspect they're going to try and find out if it's...
  14. Disappointed and sad . My gladiator is dead and sold

It does suck, I'm going through something similar but I wouldn't trade in the Gladiator for anything but another Gladiator. Hope you can find something that makes you smile as much as the Gladiator did when it was working. Brian
  15. Cracked Engine Block

I finally got an update yesterday and yes, they are going to do an entire engine swap. Now the question is how long is it going to take to get the engine to the dealer and then have the dealer swap it out? Didn't post this before I went to the dealership so here is another update. A new...
  16. Cracked Engine Block

That is my current inclination. I don't really want to have a rebuilt engine or a brand new engine. My big problem is I've got about 25k in upgrades and I'm not sure how to go about getting them put on the new vehicle if I do lemon law it. Brian
  17. Cracked Engine Block

I wish you were right but they have verified that the engine block is cracked. I suspect that is the reason that it is taking so long to decide whether they want to do a tear down/rebuild or replace the entire engine. It sounds like they are leaning toward entire engine.
  18. Cracked Engine Block

Update: Ok, so it's been over two weeks since the dealer got my Gladiator and... nothing has happened. They are, apparently, going back and forth with Stellantis trying to figure out the best way to manage this. Today is day 17 of the Gladiator being in their shop and my state says after 30...
  19. Cracked Engine Block

Wow, lots of replies. Yes that was a typo on my part. Dropped off in 2021 not 2020. I agree, this is a one off manufacturer defect, not indicative of an overall problem with the product. The customer service on the other hand is dismal at best. Still haven't heard from them today so that is...
