The VIN's come down the line in a totally random order. If we order say 5 JT's in an allocation period, we will usually get sequential VIN's assigned to them but the actual build dates will be totally different.

Physically they are interchangeable, the difference is the steering ratio.

I checked a few fresh arrivals over the last few weeks, we did get a few 20's with the new steering gear! The "oldest" date I found was 8/14 build. I looked at several 8/4-8/8 builds and they all had the old box. Edit: Found an 8/12 build with the old box.

This will be Recall V95. Dealers are typically notified of upcoming recalls before the customer mailing begins, the notification was dated 8/30. It will probably be a certain production block affected as most likely the failures can be traced to a certain date range.

I wouldn't worry about it, it will take a few days from when the dealer reports the sale for it so show up correctly.

When I finally got my JL, there was a railcar shortage and many ended up in Alorton Illinois in a large storage facility. It took quite a while to get them all delivered but they did. My JTLE is now stuck in Northtowne Yard in Toledo since 6/6 in JB status, looks like I got "lucky" once again.
