Sorry I didn't see your question when posted. It still gets dirty but not nearly as bad as before. I was getting rocks hitting the side mirrors before and that stopped when I put on the front flaps. Did you end up mounting yours?
We do! It's about 400 feet directly below the lodge and quite the hike to get down to. I would think you could recover at least $2 worth in a full day of panning.
Yes Weathertech. High quality and easy install but was surprised they didn't block more gravel road spray. At least my door handles aren't caked anymore. I am sure they will get torn off in the first mud hole next summer.
And they measure right at 34 inches high mounted on stock rims. As you can see the Weathertech mud flaps don't do a lot as far as keeping the vehicle clean.
I run the Kenda pizza cutter too. I really like them. Road noise isn't bad and they do great in the snow. I just got a second set that I put studs in but I haven't mounted yet. The only real negative I've found is that they throw rocks really hard when I get off the gravel and on the highway.
The sensors from ebay still take a minute or two to respond to pressure changes but they all still work. The OEM sensors changed real time when airing up or down.
I just upgraded tires and put in new sensors today. They were less than $40 for 5 on ebay. 1 registered right away, 2 took about 10 miles and the last started reading after almost an hour of driving.
Wish the hard top could be designed in 2 pieces with the glass and wrap around portion separate from the top. I love the look and function of the soft top in safari mode with the doors off.
You will need a 2 inch lift for that tall of tire most likely and many tire shops won't mount a 12.5 wide on a 7.5 rim. Specs usually say 8.5 minimum for that size tire but there are plenty of people that do use their stock wheels with the wider tires and I haven't heard of any horror stories. I...
