  1. Last days of 2019, can I get 7% under invoice for a Gladiator on the lot?

I'm finding 20% under MSRP on a 2020 Gladiator Sport in 2019 hard to believe, outside of some crazy trade or interest rate. If not, I don't think anyone has touched a deal like that. Great deal.
  2. Last days of 2019, can I get 7% under invoice for a Gladiator on the lot?

Nyle Maxwell on 620 is advertising discounts that are about 12% off MSRP, which I believe is approximately 7% under invoice. I asked about it and it was contingent on having a trade-in, and financing through them. I was looking at a non discounted sport with a sticker of $39,475 and asked for a...
  3. Ballooning Inventory- sales slowing?

I was going to say the same thing. It kills me coming from WI to see these people all bundled up in winter coats and gloves when it's 50 out. I'd have the top off and the cold weather package running.
  4. Ballooning Inventory- sales slowing?

I second this after having some safety or proximity features on a loaner vehicle. That thing would sing and beep like crazy when picking up food from the drive-thru. Not something I'd want to pay to add to my vehicle...
  5. Ballooning Inventory- sales slowing?

I certainly agree with that. A lot of the load outs I'm seeing on the lots are downright strange. For a truck you'd think I could find a Sport with max tow and a bedliner. Nope, none within 150 miles. There are however 11 Sports with Active Safety Group, Adaptive Cruise, and Convenience Group...
  6. Ballooning Inventory- sales slowing?

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, and noticing similar trends on the dealership lots down here. Almost 50 Gladiators sitting on one lot, most with big discounts attached to them. A $43,745 Sport S marked down over 5k for example. I'm in no rush to buy, but I'm tempted to go make an...
  7. Diminished Value on JT

No, I do nothing that honorable. I'm in the video games business.
  8. Diminished Value on JT

I was based in California when this happened, but it was all handled online. The company is autoloss.com
  9. Diminished Value on JT

I tried the DIY method of determining a suitable payout on my damaged Commander, and their insurance company didn't take it very seriously. I then spent around $100 to have specialists prepare a comprehensive appraisal and ended up settling for a $6000 payment.
  10. How well are they really selling overall?

The guy is saying what everyone else has noticed, they aren't moving off the lots like they had hoped for. That would be the definition of a flop to an auto maker. I think the slow sales are a combination of factors. They pushed highly optioned vehicles, coupled with dealer mark ups in many...
  11. Overlanding comparison in Mojave: Gladiator vs Tacoma vs Colorado (Motortrend)

They didn't advertise this comparison as which truck is the best, period. It was which truck was best at this specific trail. It seems fair, and not terribly surprisingly, that the crawler might not be their favorite on a trail of this type. I'm open to opinions, that's why I'm here. I'm...
  12. Overlanding comparison in Mojave: Gladiator vs Tacoma vs Colorado (Motortrend)

I couldn't agree more. Why do people need their vehicle of choice to win every test or review? You shouldn't need others to validate your decision. And if you aren't open to other peoples opinions, why bother clicking through to read/watch it? That's the whole point of this sub-forum.. It's...
  13. Dealers to avoid - Charging over MSRP

Just wanted to be fair and update this. They have finally added a 2" lift and a set of not super attractive KMC wheels to the sport, along with moving it out to the prime corner of the lot.
  14. Dealers to avoid - Charging over MSRP

I'd add Nyle Maxwell Jeep in Austin to the list. They have a Gladiator sport (no max tow package) with a factory sticker of $45,660 on sale for only $52,986. I saw it a few days ago and there was nothing done to it like a lift or wheels to warrant a 7k+ increase.
