I have the RR HD non-stubby bumper and the back of that bracket just touches the front of the rubber grommet on the disconnect and I didn't have to adjust anything that I recall. It seems as if the two-hole part of the bumper that the bracket should attach to is a bit further back than needed...
@kingpin71: this looks like the Rugged Ridge HD bumper - https://ruggedridge.com/hd-bumper-full-width-front-07-18-wrangler-jk-18-19-wrangler-jl-11540-31.html. I have one in the garage that I'm going to try and install this weekend.
I received my custom JTopsUSA shade yesterday and threw it on. Fits pretty well. If you have the Mopar grab handles, the straps in that area will need to be attached at an angle a bit (at least for me). The hard top goes back on while keeping the shade installed.
If anyone is interested, I installed the ACE sliders this past weekend. They angle up slightly and extend a little over 4" from the side. They can be installed with the existing stock rock rails in place.
Check out this thread - it contains part numbers and some links where the steel bumper can be ordered: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/steel-3-piece-bumper-skid-plate-s-updated-now-with-happy-ending.19328/
