Yes that was my goal get it low as possible keep it out of the trees and make it easier to put on take off. And I can leave the rails and still roll the cover flat.

I used clips from the smittybuilt rooftop attachment clip bag. Look on 4wheelparts or approved vendors for them. They slide in the rail and then I drilled holes in the cross-rail built to secure it. Works perfect and solid.. ARB has a set too... Part Number: ARB815118

Rectangle inserts with bolt and nut into the trail rail system. Smitty built tent has some. They insert perfectly

Came together perfect. Home on wheels. Low mount. Can still do pull out system for cooking and cooler.

Coming along. Need to find some rectangle nuts for inside the bedrail now. Or cut and thread some. Meh.. rooftop tent should be able to go on now.

One rail down. Weld up the rest and then do the other. Going low mount so I can take tent off keep the rails on and still roll the cover back.

These are the Method 312, They have a few sizes. I went with the 9" wheel, has some backspace to get them out but not stupid looking.
