  1. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

The bed is 5' x 8'. Trailer is still working well for me. Use it all the time hauling crap around but not for camping much this last couple years.
  2. Searchiong for a canopy-Smart CAP vs ALU-CAP vs RLD vs ARE

Those are in fact, Sharks. I doubt there are any others out there with 3 great whites on top.

I have the Gen 1 RLD. Other than the fit, I have to say it is far and away the best shell I have ever had (4th one so far). What I really like is how I can adapt it and add all kinds of attachments with simple struts. I have a shovel and lights mounted inside and my boat racks on top. I do...
  4. Hi Lift Mounts

I had to cut several inches off my 60" bar to get it to fit.
  5. Georgia

I just relocated to Douglasville from Denver (with a partial 1 year layover in Memphis). We just fully moved and are settled in and unpacking. After driving multiple trips between Denver and Atlanta I am in desperate need of routine maintenance and diff/t-case fluid changes. I hate doing these...
  6. Jeep Gladiator - happy owners? seeing scary stuff in the repair forums

26,000 miles over 15 months. One minor issue with my front locker where I get a loose connection resulting in a Service Axle Locker System light.
  7. Just an FYI regarding fresh sap on your truck.

+1 on ethanol. except in my case it was single malt. Worked very quickly.

I have the GEN 1 and while I do not like the look that much I think the functionality is great. The topper meets all my needs quite well and is working great for me. I have no reason to trade it in for a GEN 2, as doing so is just too much hassle for no substantive gain in my opinion.
  9. Rotopax or ???

I have a couple gas and water rotopax. I am not overly impressed with them either. I feel the 2 gal capacity is insufficient and the 4 gal design takes too much surface area. I find that the rotopax warp and become hard to remove. Swelling also as pointed out above. My pour mechanisms seem to...
  10. What winch?

Warn Zeon 10. I wanted to get a VR EVO but I needed it installed urgently before hunting season last fall and pretty much every model from every manufacturer was out of stock or would take 3+ weeks to ship so I ended up ordering one from Quadratec. Shipped to me in 2 days, installed one day...
  11. Transmission Clunk

I have this as well. But only in 4-Low and only when switching between Drive and Reverse. And, @JeepCares I brought this to the attention of my dealer but they said it was "Normal Operation".

Sorry for the long delay in responding. This is an SKB iSeries case. http://www.skbcases.com/industrial/products/prod-detail.php?d=s17lf1&id=796&s=s#.Xkth12hKg2w
  13. Tops! Canopy / covers / toppers / racks possibilities for Gladiator - Show me!

I agree with that. 15k kicked my butt. Especially when taking 60 foot whippers on RP’s. Not many here know what that means, sorry...
  14. RLD designs pic request

Yes, but it is an additional $500.

Edit, sorry, have not washed off the elk blood yet...
  16. Tops! Canopy / covers / toppers / racks possibilities for Gladiator - Show me!

As to the gap on the rear door. It is significant. But way less overall area than that of the Gladiators tail gate. At some point I will add some weather stripping. Maybe not...
  17. Tops! Canopy / covers / toppers / racks possibilities for Gladiator - Show me!

One area of interest I have not seen discussed so far is the hinges. RLD has small exterior hinges. May not be that secure. But anyone can smash a window way easier than removing the hinges. What may be different is water shedding when doors are open in the rain. It looks as if the Alu Cab...
  18. Tops! Canopy / covers / toppers / racks possibilities for Gladiator - Show me!

RLD is a ferromagnetic stainless. Exactly which one I do not know (most likely not one sourced in the US either). When sticking my rare earth magnet on it the force is indistinguishable from my iron tool box so it is not one of the weak ferromagnetic alloys. As for the shelf mount on the...
