I've also seen them used as additional restraints for the soft top: snap in place on frame, then loop around the hooks to help gather up more of the soft top material. My owner's manual mentions neither of these uses (maybe newer ones do?).

It was a $75 option when I ordered my Gladiator in late April. Worth it for me. I may have had second thoughts at $150, but may have got it anyway. For a while it wasn't an option at all, I think they had a supply problem.

Happy to report back that I just picked up my soft top window storage bag from the dealer today, 6 months after it was supposed to arrive with the Gladiator! Thank you for the video link. The video shows the Velcro straps being used, but some of us also got 2 mysterious elastic bands with snaps — those are the ones we’re curious about, as they aren’t mentioned in the owners manual (or in the video).
