On the hard tonneau front I reached out to diamondback racks and they said a simple rubber gasket and bolt with m whatever your preferred base bar / tray combo is works fine.
I’m going to go that way for my LE.
I have a north shore racks 4 bike set up and a Thule Pro T2... both work well and the drop down options allow easy access to bed.
That said I’m thinking of doing a diamondback rack and putting Thule Aerobars with side arm racks from another vehicle... key here that I can tow without losing...
Picked my LE up on Friday. Couldn't be happier! Cancelled the 5/2 ordered 6M/T and took the LE at a great offer, more options and bling than I'd had on the order and no M/T but not missing it.
My escalation conversation with Jeep came back yesterday indicating a 7/29 build date... that said my dealer had a LE and I couldn't resist so canceled... Order was late April/first couple days in May so 75 days in D...

Think about how a stick shift works? 1>2>1.... Down then back up....
Also, think about braking and shifting as you brake momentum comes forward and as you accelerate you get pushed back. I gather this is why the manual gates are the way they are. Or so the folks at HPDE days for track cars...

Did I see that the primary reason for the lower tow rating on the MT was longevity of part vs. AT and not safety? Can anyone confirm that...
