Because I’m a Jeep guy at heart and the appeal of the Gladiator was too much to pass up. I’ve mostly had older XJ’s, TJ’s, WK’s and WJ’s though other than a newer JK rubicon for a while. I love the aftermarket support for the Jeeps, it’s the only vehicle with this mush support. And if I’m going...
I also am not thrilled on the value of my Gladiator. I paid 43k after discounts and negotiating for a Sport S with a few options. I paid 30k after discounts and negotiating for my 2018 F150. I realize it’s a completely different class but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s an all aluminum body...
I had these in my F150 and it was the same problem. It was loose enough that my tail light filled up water over time and corroded the bulbs contacts. I came to the conclusion they are extremely overpriced junk even if they are bright. I called HR many times and just waited on hold for ever. I’ve...
It looks like the wheel/tire is sticking out more than a little bit on your orange Gladiator. It will stick out even more than that on a Rubicon or Max Tow too, due to the wider axles. Almost everyone is running a 35 or 37 and that is not coming in under 12.5” wide so the option to go skinnier...
PLEASE consider making us a wheel with a higher offset than what’s currently offered. Something around +25 or +30! AEV is the only ones doing this and I think another option would be great. The wide track axles on our trucks push all these current wheels too far out of our fenders.
After swapping rubi suspension onto my max tow I wish I hadn’t. I chucked the springs right in the dumpster after too. I would just do the shocks next time with a small spacer front and rear.
Suspension isn’t the only determining factor for payload but it is a major one. I have a max tow gladiator and put on rubicon suspension. It’s much more squishy and slightly higher so they need to take that into account for load stability when they are determining payload. There are specific...
I just dealt with the same thing yesterday. I stuck a flat head inside and spun it in circles to break away the first bit and then tried to clean it out with a old tooth brush. Then I threaded in a bolt by itself. It will bind up a little but if you keep going smoothly it breaks free and loosens...
Looks sweet, I've been looking at a similar setup with those tires and some other black rhinos but in 18" so I can get a 1" larger tire with that same width. Do you know what offset those wheels have? I see they make it in a couple options. Could you take some more pictures including down the...
I just had to click on this thread because I just finished my hunter safety course this weekend and I think I know what they were talking about now when they were mentioning things like ethics, fair chase, and doing what you feel is fair even though you might not technically be breaking any law...
I'm also wondering this. Most 1.5 leveling kits come with shock extensions however the Teraflex 1.5 spacer for upfront doesn't and I trust they know what they are doing. I'm putting Rubicon take off shocks on my Sport soon and don't plan on running the extensions with a 1.5" Daystar spacer up...
That's the size I'm planning on running. Not until I can find a lift of about 3" I like though. Looks great but for off road use disconnected on a Sport S I imagine there would be some pretty good rubbing. Thanks for the pictures! I can't decide between the duratracs or Cooper AT3 XLTs.
I’m thinking about running some spare steel wheels when I go up to 18s on my Sport S and like the stock offset of +44mm. Can anyone with an overland check if it’s an actual 18” wheel under there, or are they using a 17” like the rest? Hopefully they are 18 and I can buy some from Jeep. Thanks!
