Normally I can reach up, grab the handle and close the top with very little effort while driving. The bar where the shade rolls up is far enough forward that I can't reach the handle without getting my elbow up aside it so I can kind of turn my arm around backwards. It's not impossible but it...
It's in the way to easily open and close the sunrider is my biggest gripe.
Lesser gripes are it's kind of a pita to use in general, isn't far enough back so there's a gap behind it, flaps a good bit when driving.
It does work great for shade though.
If I end up getting rid of it, it'll be...
Bestop retractable Sun shade. Meh. Will run it the next few days but not particularly impressed so far. Does make for a pretty nice handle across the middle of the roof though.
Yeah, I'm really happy I got one with a Jeep grille before they apparently got rid of the Jeep grille.
Edit: The angry bird version of that new grille should be entertaining at least.
Those look incredible! You almost made them a sale until I saw the cost. I think I'll wait until I wear my seats out and just get them recovered at that point.
That was the original plan hooked to the hitch. I just never got around to going back there to do it. Now if I get a winch out of it I may be inclined to get to it sooner.
Hmmm, I have a bunch of posts stuck in the ground where I demoed our deck months ago. The wife wants them gone and I can't be bothered with it. I'm thinking a winch and associated parts/gear might have to go in a change order to get the job completed.
I usually use a Android Auto and a cupholder or the key fob slot. When there are more people in the truck, especially with drinks or their own phones I needed somewhere else to put mine.
Part of the problem is that there's not really a good spot to put a phone in the JT so you see a bunch of...
I didn't give up. After a good bit of playing with different options I ended up installing this just now. Haven't tried it in action and can't take a pic of my phone in it with my phone but is looking like what I wanted. Will add a photo of the phone in it when someone else gets home.
I keep a nice little pleather bound journal in the glove box and note everything in that but I like the site being accessible without having to run out to the glove box. I'll do both from now on.
Doing both definitely takes more time. Takes about 30min to rotate my tires assuming nobody is...
I have a "Latest Maintenance Records" section under Vehicle Information on the Website. The Mopar App had me Download the Jeep app and it's under the Service and Maintenance line above the dealer on that.
This forum has scared me away from jeep dealerships doing basic maintenance. The JT is also the easiest thing I've ever had to do an oil change on. You'd have to work to get the oil filter in wrong. The oil filter cap is plastic so it can be rounded off or cracked. I use a 6 sided socket and...
This 100%. For 5 years prior to the JT I was in a GTI. JT felt like driving a beat up old farm truck from the 70s.
1.5 years in on the JT and it's still absolutely a blast to drive not going anywhere fast and just enjoying the trip.
