I ordered mine last August and was surprised when I saw the grey dash. Was expecting the red one. I have also thought about switching it out for the LE dash.
I have a 6 spd JTR with 35s and Mopar 2" lift. Stock gearing for now. Towing performance out west, Utah, Idaho, Montana...is awful. I was towing a Harley Sportster on a 5 x 10 utility trailer (estimated 1500 pounds) from Utah to Glacier National Park. I regularly had to downshift to 3rd gear...
For mine, all I needed and used was the Tazer to activate after installation and all was well. The switches showed up in the setup and I configured how I wanted the switches to work.
I'd say add them after...but...this is a big purchase that you are going to have for a long time....so you need to get what is going to make you happy for the long haul.
I believe so. But I ordered last August. It'd be worth checking though. What is the one you are looking at lacking? Is it something you can add later on?
I ended up going with Dillon just down the road a bit. I had contacted both and Dillon was much quicker to respond. Competition never hurts, try both and see who wants your business more. :)
Like others said...supply and demand. I was going to pull the trigger on one but all that I researched will be $25k+ spec'd out like I would like (Vorsheer would be in the 40s) with a waiting period of 3-12 months. The manufacturers all seem to have more work than they can handle at the moment...
That is the setup I have. You can kind of see the setup in my profile pic. When I am not carrying my RTT and need full functionality of the bed, I just remove the crossbars by removing 4 bolts (they have a plastic knob)...no tools required. Not perfect, but works for my use.
I went with steel and the only time I have had leaks was at the car wash pressure washing after a camping trip...but it wasn't a bad at all. I'd recommend going with the locking bolts in lieu of the knobs. The knobs loosen and you have to check them frequently. Great rack and well made.
I have the Voodoo crossbar rack and Voodoo doesn't make awning brackets for it. I am not a fabricator so I'm looking for a COTS solution if available. I have attached a couple of pics to show where it would be installed. Thanks in advance for any help!
Took my Punkn out to the Bonneville Speedway this weekend. I'm not gonna brag about my top speed... :) then went up into the mountains for some camping.
Dealer told me to drop it off at 7:15 a.m. for the hour inspection. 1:45 and no one called me. I called and they said my jeep was ready, clutch is fine, but I need to bring it back because they don't have the required parts for the recall.
I made my appointment for tomorrow morning as well. The dealer told me they need it for an hour to perform an initial inspection, and then determine if any work is required.
