The gold/bronze part in this picture. I imagine they are for heat dissipation, am I right? My guess is that since the rear axles are fully sealed, these provide an avenue to let heat out. The front don't have them, because they aren't sealed.
I'm getting a little annoyed at how low the rear lower shock mounts are. I'd like to move them. Has anyone done this yet?
I have skids already there, but that doesn't stop them from getting hung up and bent. Moving them higher will definitely effect the geometry and where the shocks bottom out...
Just switched to 17” wheels for a bit more grip on the trails. These wheels and tires have served me well for around 12k miles, pictures below of each tire and wheel. Highly recommend the Maxxis tires, they drive great on the road and perform like pros off it :)

Doing a cross country trip in a few months and looking for opinions on peace of mind countermeasures.
We’re going to be alternating camping and doing hotels, and while not going anywhere suspect... the world is a little crazy right now.
I have a lockable hood and a battery disconnect already...
The first year of this build, was done out of my apartment. Fortunately, I now have a garage and things are much easier to work on. I'm looking forward to tackling more big projects! Hopefully some of the lessons learned will help others, this community has certainly been super helpful to me so...

After a year, I’ve never used the media hub or front outlet :/ I feel like these spaces could be better used!
To that end I’m designing covers to replace these plates. Has anyone else tried this? I can share the STL files once I have a functioning prototype if anyone else finds this useful.
