  1. Higher than roof rack that works with factory tonneau cover

Nope, it’s been solid. You just want to periodically check bolt tightness, I had some get loose. Not the best quality of fasteners, that’d be the only knock I’d have on the rack.
  2. Control arm bracket protection

So just installed Rusty’s LCA skids, no need to drill it out. See my post on the belly dragging thread. Bottom line is put the lower far bolt in first and thread it but don’t tighten, then the control arm bolt, then the upper bolt then tighten them down.
  3. So, how much do you really scrape the belly while off road? Lifted.

So if you put it on with the bottom back bolt first, the the control arm bolt, the the top small bolt, keeping all the bolts loose, you don’t have to do any drilling or grinding. It’s important that you thread the bottom back nut on before you put the control arm bolt in, otherwise youlll never...
  4. Control arm bracket protection

RockHard also has them. Bolt on.
  5. Color Remorse

Regret forever that you didn’t have the foresight to get a Punk’n Gladiator???
  6. Higher than roof rack that works with factory tonneau cover

Here are some photos. Let me know if you need more.
  7. Higher than roof rack that works with factory tonneau cover

I e got the max-modular rack (18”+2.5”) and plan to carry SUPs with it using either the Thule or Yakima SUP carrier to help it clear the roof and secure the boards. I have the factory tonneau cover and I can peel it back to the front load arms. It’s a pain, but it works. I’ve offroaded it a fair...
  8. Manual Transmission Club

It's also supposed to improve MPG. How much will depend on how much time you spend at stoplights. It is frankly marginal gains on both fronts. I use it and don't mind it, doing my small part for the planet, LOL as I drive a big, gas thirsty Jeep. But it's easy to turn off or to defeat entirely...
  9. Jeep Gladiator sales moves into 4th place among midsize trucks

As a former Tacoma owner, the Tacoma is by no means better on the road than a Gladiator. It is better on fire roads and fast dirt sections, but that's the only place its better. Frankly, Tacoma's are right at the border of being unsafe on the road, especially in wet conditions.
  10. Manual Transmission Club

    I absolutely concur with this!
  11. Manual Transmission Club

Ok, so took delivery of my JT today. Very initial impressions, but I have to say that I don't understand all the whinging about this gearbox. It drives very similarly to my wife's 2006 LJ with the six speed. 1st gear is a bit lower, but it goes to 15 with no issues. Shifts to 2nd are actually...
  12. Punk'n owner's unite!

Took delivery today, now I have two bright Jeeps in the driveway, a matched pair. Awesome to finally have the Punk'n Glad in the driveway!!!
  13. Took Delivery of Your JT? Sign in Here!

Took delivery today. Manual tranny is awesome, not sure why anybody would have any issues with it, very similar driving experience to our LJR. Great to add another Jeep to the family. Great experience with Monica Jaramillo at Larry H Miller Jeep in Albuquerque, look her up if you want a good deal!
  14. Punk'n owner's unite!

Mine is at the railyard in town, now the wait for the delivery to the dealer. All the paperwork is done, so taking it home should be relatively painless... It's now downloaded. Pick it up today. Wahoooo!
  15. Albuquerque Dealer giving approximately 6.5% off invoice on orders

That could be, I just know what I received as far as a deal, it wasn't 3% over, it was 6.5% or so under. Dealer said it reflected his holdback, so I just repeated that. If it's inaccurate, that's an issue with the dealer's terminology.
  16. Albuquerque Dealer giving approximately 6.5% off invoice on orders

So just about to take delivery of my Gladiator and wanted to recommend Monica Jaramillo at Larry H. Miller Jeep in Albuquerque for orders of Gladiators. She and the dealership were able to go do dealer holdback, which equates to around 6.5% off invoice on my order with no requirement for...
  17. Considering a Gladiator

I think this and other posts show that the gnashing of teeth and wailing about the manual is overdone. Yes you need to rev it more than you would with different gear ratios and a torquier engine. But that should be no surprise if you’ve read the manual and seen the suggested shift points. Do I...
