  1. Manuals might be dead

Apparent "fanboi" here (who has had both manual and auto Jeeps). This manual doesn't run like crap. But sorry you're hurt about it and/or settled for an auto and regret it.
  2. Manuals might be dead

Of course not. The 2020 order window is closing since 2021s will be produced soon... and usually they stop work on the less common/custom orders, first. This is common practice, and your headline is INCREDIBLY misleading. Manuals aren't dead.
  3. Disappointed with poor quality control

^^This. I've owned/leased upward of 30+ vehicles now, both new and used--includes Porsches, Audis, 3 other Jeeps and many Japanese models--and the Gladiator is the FIRST vehicle I've had with zero (and I mean ZERO) defects from the factory or in delivery. No leaks. No rattles. No misalignments...
  4. So many used Gladiators on the market.

^^THIS. To compare 2020 Gladiators vs. 2020 Wranglers is completely misleading, since the 2020 Gladiator was introduced WELL before the 2020 Wranglers (the Gladiator was all-new). And this would be the same versus other "2020" vehicles, as well. A more fair comparison would be to look at 2020s...
  5. Mojave vs. Rubicon: In-Depth Comparison and Differences

An in-depth comparison with all of the key differences from FourWheeler.com: Jeep JT Gladiator Mojave vs Gladiator Rubicon: What’s the Difference? https://www.fourwheeler.com/news/jeep-jt-gladiator-mojave-vs-gladiator-rubicon-whats-difference/
  6. HARD shifting from 2hi to 4hi

I shift at low speeds and with my foot on the clutch and other foot OFF the accelerator (just like shifting a manual), then I re-engage. It is NOT easy, but it works. Give it a shot... and good luck.
  7. Jeep star graphic for non veteran?

I don't think anyone "owns" that star any more than anyone "owns" the stars and stripes. It's a symbol, for sure, but not one that's specific to any particular branch or unit, etc., so I don't see any issues. I'd love to see more Jeeps with them, honestly... a little American pride is a good thing.
  8. Remove media outlet door??

I do this, too... and just leave my phone sitting on the passenger seat. I plug a micro-USB into the dash USB (for music), and that allows the door to close almost completely. Still, this is an annoyance... the door is presumably there for water ingress prevention (there's a small rubber gasket...
  9. Wait or not to wait for 2021 model

The dealer can turn off the ESS. Mine was smart enough to disable from the get-go on mine... I live in a rather blue-collar, no b.s. part of the country where selling trucks with that nonsense is a non-starter (pun intended). So they just disable them. I do get a little "bing" warning on the...
  10. Scratching my head over complaints

Couldn't agree more... I've owned Toyotas, Subarus, Porsches, Audis, Mazdas, Fords, Hyundais, VWs, RAMs, Minis, Volvos, and others--including two other Jeeps--and my JT has been more reliable than any of them, with ZERO defects from the factory or dealer. Call me lucky, but I couldn't be happier.
  11. Prospective buyers beware

It's a sporadic, inaccurate system, for sure... but hardly something to "warn" people about, though.
  12. Lets talk manual transmission and stalling.

I've stalled mine a grand total of twice since owning... the first coming off of my wife's JKU during my first day of ownership, and the second on a slow creep into a parking garage. Both were just mild learning curve issues that you'd have with any manual transmission. I've owned about 30...
  13. Setting Expectations with JT Issues

FWIW, I think we're hearing mostly from the small, but vocal minority with problems (as you'd expect). I've owned/leased roughly 3-dozen vehicles in my life--including expensive Audis, Volvos, and Porsches--and the JT is the FIRST vehicle I've ever owned with absolutely zero flaws from the...
  14. Does anyone not regret ordering a hard top when they bought their Jeep?

This might be the most awkwardly-phrased question in the history of the internet... and that's saying something! As worded, the phrase assumes everyone who has ordered a hard top regrets the decision (and is asking if anyone feels otherwise). If that's the case, then no, I don't regret...
  15. I Think I've Decided On a Different Vehicle

With respect, I think these are ill-informed rationalizations for what has become an emotional purchase decision (i.e., the move to a Durango SRT). Don't get me wrong--I've made lots of pseudo-irrational car purchase decisions. But the Gladiator is not only well-built and reliable (I have...
  16. Anybody had the horrible roll up bed cover replaced?

Sounds like it's defective or not on properly. I've had no such problems and am quite pleased with the OE cover.
  17. Patagonia MTs or Cooper STT Pros for $180 more?

Loving my Cooper SSTs... moderate noise, good road manners, fine wear, tough as nails.
  18. DV8 Jeep Gladiator Build (Red) [SEMA 2019]

Why do all of these aftermarket parts look like they were made in some guy's garage with his buddy that welds? You can always, always tell a "factory" part from these bolt-ons... and I don't mean that as a compliment. They need to start hiring some industrial designers, or better yet, get with...
  19. Pro Motorsports 2020 Jeep Gladiator Magnuson Supercharged SEMA Build [SEMA 2019]

When will companies learn that the "mean face" front ends make you look more like a bratty 12-year old than a tough off-roader? Leave the damn headlights and grille alone...
  20. Alpine Stereo Headunit Factory Replacement - Pricing, Release Date, Demo

Easy pass... doesn't look good, not priced anywhere close to reality.
