    I was wanting to stay with a skinnier tire as well. I ended up with 35x11.5 Nitto Trail Grapplers on stock rims and 2” lift. The JL is on 37x12.5 Patagonias on Method wheels. Not the size you requested but a good comparison and inside the fenders.
