  1. Disconnecting aux battery- which cable?

I watched a auxiliary battery disconnect video that showed you can just disconnect the negative cable and pull the fuse to disable the auxiliary battery. Their cable setup was slightly different (older model). Mine is a 21, which cable do I disconnect for the auxiliary battery?
  2. DJI Mavic 3 Pro- what would you like to see in a review?

I had a few requests to do a review of the Mavic 3 Pro. There are tons of reviews already out there that are probably way better than I could do but I thought maybe I could approach it from a different angle, maybe from an overlander/offroader's perspective? I was going to go over what is in the...
  3. New (to me) bumper- needs touched up

As title says I got a new to me fab fours stubby. The factory coating is good but it's got several spots where it's scuffed up (from shipping) and some places to the metal other places it looks brand new. Would just a general scuff and rattle can be ok? Not sure how paint over coating works...
  4. Our Trip to Utah: Two Gladiators, One 4 runner and a Tacoma

4 vehicles - two gladiators, one 4 runner and a Tacoma headed west to find adventure on what seemed like the surface of mars (at least to or east coast eyes). It was amazing. Episode 1 was basically just to lay some ground work. My family really loved it out there, grumblings of selling all our...
  5. Midland MXT275VP4 Install

A friend has been running this radio for a while and its been good to him so I picked one up for myself. Its a 15 Watt GMRS MicroMobile Two Way Radio. Its got NOAA and supposedly a 50 mile no obstructions distance. This was a welcome upgrade from my handheld unit I was constantly fumbling with...
  6. Help me survive a trip out west

Almost a year ago a friend of mine said he and his family were planning a trip to Utah and asked if I wanted to go also. I talked it over with the wife and she was up for it and work schedules worked out. We are currently a month or so out. Im a touch nervous about a few things and am just...
  7. Got a new drone! Mavic 3 Pro! :)

My previous Mini 2 was getting good pics and it was easy to use but it lacked a bunch of features that I feel I needed for Overlanding and adventure type content, follow me was my biggest need. But wow what a drone! I knew it would be a big bigger than the mini, obviously. Im super impressed...
  8. Land Between the Lakes- pretty epic spot

My wife and kids went to LBL on memorial weekend but it was so packed all my marked dispersed spots were taken. We lucked out and found one on the first day. As luck would have it a friend had to cancel his trip to cape lookout and went to LBL instead, I tagged along driving solo this time. We...
  9. Land Between the Lakes - a lesson in planning

My wife and I packed up the kids and dogs and headed west to Land Between the Lakes. My buddy had been there prior and had mapped out some good spots for us on Gaia. But we made one flaw in our plan....
  10. Is there a better way? Family of 5 vs RTT / Annex / side rooms etc

I currently have a Tuff Stuff Alpha rtt with annex. Im trying to cram 2 adults and 3 kids in. The RTT can hold me, wife and two little kids max, it isnt super fun as the youngest does interpretive dance in her sleep. We have the annex but i am not in love with it as a solution. Is there some...
  11. How to wake up on the beach- A simple guide to Cape Lookout

I just posted a new short and sweet Cape Lookout guide. Its intended for folks who havent gone yet but plan to. It has all the links to ferry services and beach permits, local camp locations and just general info and advice. Its a great place to experience and one of the few on the east coast...
  12. RoofNest "Little Wing" 270 awning review

Threw this review together on this awning. Overall Ive really liked this thing. It is really quick to set up and also put away. The lights are pretty killer as well. I did get a small comparison shot between it and the "big wing". Anyhow, figured I would share.
  13. Pulling to the passenger side

As the title states, my Mojave pulls to the passenger side and I am trying to figure it out. I have included an alignment I got today (sorry its not the greatest picture). It seemed to start when i put 35s on but I cant be certain. The tires have been rotated and balanced many times and nothing...
  14. Tuff Stuff Annex- way too tight to setup...

Myself and a friend or two tried to setup the annex. But man I got one pole in (horizontal) and could NOT get the other one. I felt like I didnt have enough material slack to make it work. Id guess 6-8" short. If you are familiar with these you know you have a section on the annex than slides...
  15. Quick Shakedown Trip

Several of us ran a ultra casual shakedown trip to test some new gear and just stretch our legs some. My friend had a new renogy setup to test - that worked awesome, seemed like unlimited power. He also had a new bluetooth diesel heater to break in. I feel the running those from an app is the...
  16. 12v to 24v converter

Just a quick video I made (yes im pretty goofy, ok?) about a gadget i thought was pretty neat. Basically Ive ran a 12v line to the bed of the truck for power then you can put this in-line with that for 24 volts. I ended up with 197 watts from the dc "cig outlet" which i felt was pretty nice for...

A deer got me the other night and took off my rear fender flare (recovered it). But the inner liner is gone. Anyone have one they would sale/ship for a reasonable price?

Ive been REALLY working on my video quality and editing skills. Trying to find a balance of keeping things exciting or interesting even when its...
  20. First time at Cape Lookout

And we got our asses kicked. I didnt get to do much videography there as it was just constantly fixing issues. My dad passed away 2 years ago and my goal was to bring my mom along and have some good memories as she is getting older and my sister came too. Our younger kiddos hadnt been to the...
