I ordered the axel from Redneck Trailer supply. I got lucky because they were right down the street from my house. I ordered it with new leaf springs. I never installed shocks on it.
When I was building mine (m101), I just bought a new axel. Then I was able to order the width that I wanted, lug pattern, electronic brakes and the parking break. I even ordered it flipped with new leaf springs.

It’s not a replaceable part. They are “plastic welded” together. At least that is the case with the front fenders. Check out A video for the American Adventure Lab High-Line Fender Brace. It will show how to take the front fenders apart. Should be pretty similar in the rear.
