I feel your pain, I went simplest route as I mountain bike and camp. Pressurized water and all essentials. Easy to take off for the 5-6 months of non use. Billie Bars are great, no wind noise and not over the cap height. Good luck!

No issues with my AEV kit (knocking wood)

I’m on the 2.5 AEV kit, stock rims/tires for the moment. Setup for Overlanding, will go 35’s. She lives most miles on pavement as a daily but handles the weekend trails just fine. Good luck OP!
