I have not noticed any sag or change in driving after the bumper and winch install. The bumper is heavier than the factory stock bumper but lighter than the Mopar steel bumper I originally installed. I've hit some pretty good speed humps in my neighborhood going in excess of 45 mph and did not...
I did not measure. The Rugged Ridge HD Bumper was lighter than the Mopar Steel Bumper I removed but the weight of the winch ate up any weight savings between the two bumpers. I have not noticed any sag. I will eventually install the AEV 2" Spacer kit on my Mojave along with 35" tires.
I purchased on line through Extremeterrain.com
I am planning to reinstall my factory Mojave skid plate. From what I’ve read it should fit with the bumper.
It was actually yesterday (Sunday). I installed a Rugged Ridge HD Full Width Front Bumper with the Rugged Ridge X-Striker Bar and a Badland Apex 12000 LB winch. I still need to wire up the winch (ran out of daylight) and reinstall my Mojave skid plate.
I just installed the Badland Apex in my Mojave but have not wired up the winch yet. I plan on using the supplied switch that came with the winch. In fact, I may look into making use of one of the unused winch tray brackets for mounting the switch!
Finally got around to swapping bumpers. I sold my Rubicon steel bumper to a friend and installed the Rugged Ridge HD full width bumper on my Mojave along with an Apex 12000 LB winch. I also purchased the Rugged Ridge X-Striker Bar which really adds a great look! Installation went smoothly...
As I stated in my post, I was referring to the steel bumper skid plate which is completely different from the plastic bumper skid plate. We have a miscommunication, that’s all.
The Mojave skid plate is completely different from the Rubicon. The Rubicon skid mounts directly to the steel bumper. The Mojave skid does not mount to the bumper.
My friend wants to buy my Mopar Steel bumper that I installed on my Mojave so I just ordered a Rugged Ridge HD full width bumper and X-Striker! From the threads I’ve read, the Mojave skid plate works without trimming and I really like the looks of the
X-Striker and high clearance bumper! I’ll...
I find it interesting that many feel the Gladiator is underpowered when in fact the motor is a high revving, throttle happy, powerplant! Yes, it's no hemi but it's more than adequate for most of our needs on the highway and off road. It also has a nice exhaust growl when you put your foot...
I bought Hooke Road side steps. They were priced well, have a nice design that follow the curvature of the Gladiator sides and look good, however, they arrived with a couple of small dents in the tubes. The other issue is that I get rust stains from water that finds it's way inside the tubing...
Here’s my 2023 Mojave. Currently the only mods I have are the Hook Off-road Side Steps and Mopar Steel Bumper.
My next plans are to add the AEV 2” Mojave lift, wheels and 35” tires.
Did you guys notice on today's release of the 2024 Gladiator that the Mojave drove onto the stage with a steel Rubicon bumper? mmmmmm.....I assume they are using the steel bumper skid plate also as I did not see any silver under the truck...
I just found this on the web:
New trims include the...
Bumper swap completed. I did have to drill the two mounting tabs on the LED light slightly larger to get the aftermarket bracket to fit snug against the light. Others have drilled the hole in the metal bracket larger.
I purchased my OEM bumper as a new takeoff from a Rubicon 392 (blue hooks). I paid $800.00 which was substantially less than buying new. No fog lamps included.
