Nice of everyone to give input. Just to be clear... I don’t have any intention of trading in my JTR. Just kinda wondered what they were worth as of now. Figured the JTs would have less depreciation (even just a little) than the JLs since they are even more utilitarian.
I think it’s only skewed when someone doesn’t include what they had to pay in fees made up by the dealer. Taxes, title, and registration are a separate cost. Unless you work those costs into your loan. Either way when buying any vehicle not putting money down will give you negative equity.

With my lemon? It drove very nice and didn’t notice any wandering. Just the check engine light, electronic start stop, and of course feeling like it’s misfiring on cold starts.
Well got things sorted out. Bittersweet to be done with that lemon, but, I’m hopping back on the waiting game. My dealer is going to order me a whole new gladiator.
