Im under the impression that the tray has have always fit any group 25 battery. They just pushed the odyssey as they were a retailer for them ( for good reasons ).
I use it for camping and fishing purposes. While a dual battery setup has way more capacity, I needed the ability to charge while stationary out at my spot. For the sake of a few lights and such I doubt you would even need a dual battery setup, I imagine the stock would handle it fine...
It was just excessive for what I needed. I also do very little driving ( which recharges the system ), so Ive decided to run a solar setup instead. I instead run the Cascadia VSS system which powers my fridge no issue.
A dual battery setup has a place, but for someone like me just looking to run a fridge, its overkill. I highly reccomend the Cascadia VSS for this application.
Ive decided to go a different direction and run a solar setup. I use my jeep to get to fishing spots and don't do the driving needed to keep it charged.
