I have their twill tonneau cover and sunrider top, but my bed cap is the vinyl. Honestly, I don't know if I would have paid that extra 50% price increase for the twill. The way I figure is that I'm only going to really have the cap in the open position when I'm using it so I'm not THAT concerned...
Agreed. I just drove mine around for about 1000 miles on a two week trip and it stormed quite a few times. I didn't get any water in the bed. The seals seem to work pretty well so far.
Honestly I'm not sure how that would work. I would imagine it would then just be a hanging flap not fastened to anything which would mean it would never be fully sealed up. I don't have one though so I could be wrong.
This is the same reason I went with the Bestop. With the cross bar on the Supertop you can still open the tailgate with the top fully closed. With the Supertopper you have to unvelcro the back window panel from the tailgate to open the tailgate.
I've had zero issues with the sides so far. I wonder what is causing your issue. Almost sounds like the fabric is stretched too much and is now too loose.
I had your #2 issue as well. The holes where the frame clicks together still had metal shavings in them and needed to be filed down. It was an easy fix, but I shouldn't have had to do it. In the heat it does seem to expand a little and the rear window comes loose if you don't have the whole...
Yeah if you missed having it for your trip then you might as well just wait for the twill.....but who knows how long that wait will be. I have to imagine the twill will be a little tougher to install since it doesn't stretch as much as the diamond vinyl or whatever it is. I guess we just have to...
You are correct about the back. The Softopper only has rails on the sides and then velcro for the back and front flaps. This one doesn't need a flap over the end of the bed. It has a cross rail on the front and back that the material slides in to. With the Supertop You can open the bed without...
Originally bought it simply because I can't fit all of my families luggage in the bed without it. We have a 10 month old and her stroller, pack and play bed, etc take up half of the bed. Now I can stand them vertically and stack things higher than the bed and not worry about them on an 8hr...
I didn't even attempt to ask for one since I really need the top for this weekend and was just happy it arrived and was able to be installed.
FedEx is the WORST. I bought a limited edition (72 worldwide) collectible statue that was almost $3k and it looked like a forklift went through the...
Got the Supertop delivered last weekend just in time for this weekend's trip. Installed pretty easily with the factory rails. It would have been even easier if I would have waited until it warmed up in the morning.
There are only 2 small downsides. One is that the packaging could be a little...
Got my tracking as well. I have the twill sunrider so I wanted it to match too, but I'll probably only leave the truck top on during the summer for trips and then put my twill tonneau back on for the winter.
That truck doesn't even have a rear tag. Weird. I hope they are shipping though. If I don't get at least an answer in the next few days I'm going to have to cancel mine and find another option.
I would have ordered the Softopper instead, but that at least says it is backordered until August on the site. The lack of updates/no info on the site is what is frustrating to me.
